Ron Polk
Coach Ron Polk is a passionate supporter of Baseball Scotland and brings with him extensive experience of baseball from his native USA at a variety of levels. Having coached a number of players who have gone on to play professional baseball, Coach Ron knows what is expected of, and what it takes to make, a quality ballplayer and expects total commitment at all times.

Ron has particular expertise in sport vision training and hitting and is currently coaching at the college level in the USA. Ron also managed the Edinburgh Diamond Devils during their first foray in to CEB European Cup play in Belgium in 2003 when the side brought home the 'team of the tournament' award.

As Scottish baseball's foreign ambassador, Ron has worked hard to develop links in a number of areas which have proven to be highly beneficial to the sport and his support continues to be invaluable. He is set to return to Scotland in 2008


Stan Exeter
Stan Exeter is Head Coach of Swarthmore College baseball, a NCAA Division 3 programme in the USA. Stan has been a long-time supporter of Baseball Scotland, previously bringing his Arcadia team over to visit the Edinburgh Diamond Devils ballclub. Plans are underway to have his new charges Swarthmore visit in 2009 for a series of matches.

Exeter, a two-time Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, had a record of 181-166 in ten years at Arcadia, capturing a pair of conference championships—the most recent coming in 2006 when the Knights posted a record of 27-14 (18-3 in conference). In 2004, Exeter led Arcadia to a conference championship as well as season-ending national ranking by the American Baseball Coaches Association. He has coached three All-Americans, seven All-Region selections, and nearly three dozen All-Conference players.

Exeter graduated from Lafayette University in 1992 with a B.A. in Government and Law and was twice named to the All-Patriot League while playing for the Division I Leopards.


Neal Packanik
Neal is Program Dirctor of Amateur Coaches Education (ACE) and has been instrumental in supporting Baseball Scotland's coaching development work.

Neal has spent the past six years in the youth baseball/softball training business. During those years, Neal has gained experience in many different aspects of training and youth sports including; lessons, team training, facility management, team management, camps, clinics, and player development. Neal also brings a wealth of knowledge and contacts from his playing days at Ohio University as well as professional scouting with the Milwaukee Brewers.
