BYL Boys Saturday League Club Participants BYL conducts a Saturday League game scheduling for all clubs who signed-up to participate in the BYL Saturday League to play games on Saturdays starting the first week of April all the way through the end of May. There will be a total of 8 Saturday games assigned to each team who participate in the BYL Saturday League. If games are played at a home field, the club assigns the referee for those games. However, if the club is unable to assign the referees, then BYL assigns the referee for those games. Fields allocated by each club are used to schedule the games. If a club is unable to allocate a field, then most of their games will be played away. Each club/team has to complete a "ranking sheet" for each team so we can make sure that the games are played competitively based on the number of experienced and inexperienced players on a team, # of years coaching for team, how many 8th graders, etc. Each team pays a participation fee that covers the referee payments and game scheduling. The Spring Game Schedule is posted on the website at least two weeks prior to the first Saturday Game. An email will be sent to previous club participants and invite them to an organizational meeting usually scheduled in late January or early February prior to the season. Additionally, those teams who participate in the Saturday League games are invited to participate in the Oregon Cup Select Tournament and the BYL End of the Season Invitational Tournament. The Saturday League club/team participants will be given first priority to sign-up for the End of the Season tournament since this tournament attracts over 90 teams.
