Rules for Baseball
Baseball Rules Class C-1 amd Above

These are the basic rules for Knothole Baseball (do not apply to children playing T-Ball, Coach-Pitch/Pony or at the D-1 and D-2 Knothole level).
These rules supplement the basic rules of baseball. They apply in all games played during the regular season (regardless of where played)
Thus they apply for games played in District 2.
The special rules for D-2, D-1 and Coach Pitch are on the website.
Note starting in 2007 (and still in place this year( special rules will also apply for Class D-2:
a. No leadoffs
b. Baserunner may attempt to steal a base only after ball has crossed home plate
c. Batter is out on the third strike even if the ball is dropped by the catcher. Runner may advance (assuming the out is not the third out), but runner may advance only after the ball has crossed home plate.
