The Warm Weather Policy is as follows:

On practice days where the temperature is forecasted, that day, to be 98 degrees or higher means that practice is automatically cancelled.  You can check the days temperature on the Sacramento News 10 website at http://www.news10.net/weather/forecast/ , go to the “change your weather location” box and type in Elk Grove, Ca.  If the temperature is forecasted to be 98 degrees or higher, that day, practice is automatically cancelled.  If it is 97 degrees or below, it is the coach that makes the decision on whether to hold practice.  And remember, parents/caregivers always have the option to hold their player out of practice sessions if they think the weather will adversely effect them.  

The Spare the Air Policy is as follows:

At 5pm on practice days, check the Spare the Air website at http://www.sparetheair.com/aqi.cfm and check Elk Grove.  If the air quality index (AQI) for Elk Grove is 151 or above (unhealthy), practice is automatically cancelled.  If the AQI is in the 101-150 range (unhealthy for sensitive individuals), the parent/caregiver will determine if the player should participate in the practice.
