Gold Team Wins Series

After suffering a tough loss on Friday, the Gold Team jumped out to an early lead and held on to an 8-7 victory to win the series. The Gold Team would score four runs in the first inning and knock Green Teams starter Billy Bob Ward out of the game.   Jackson Morrow would relieve Ward and would surrender a pair of run in the second and third innings.  Mike Cardona cruised through his first two innings of work before surrendering a run in the third  and two in the fourth.  Cardona would try to finish the game in the fifth but a lead off walk prompted a call to the bullpen.  Aaron Blair would enter in relief and was promptly greeted with a two run homerun off the bat of Cody Collins.  After a strikeout of Hernandez, Blair surrendered back to back singles to Cameron Brooks and Perry Martin.  After striking out Barajas, Blair would give up a two strike single to Ward that would score Martin and put the tying run at first base.  The rally would end there as Aaron Blair popped up his older brother Garrett Blair to end the game.
