New Section XI Contract
The New Officials Contract for the next three years is now posted on the Section Website (www.sectionxi.org/handbook). It will appear under the heading:
Section XI Constitution and Policies - Officials Contract.

Important Section Info
Please be advised that any paid scrimmage you receive from Section XI, shall be officiated like any game from the Section.
Regardless, that sometimes the game period times or foul shot adminstration may be slightly different, any poor or unreasonable sportmanship should be handled just like a regular season game.
Intentional fouls, Technicals or any other penalties should be administered as dictated by the rule book or case book.
There is no reason to allow any unreasonable situations by players or coaches to be condoned or left unpenalized.
The same misconduct rules apply (Technicals or Ejections) are to be reported to the Section. Additional penalties may be doled out by the Section, if warranted.

This information was reported to Pres. Gary Boulanger by the Section office and is to be adhered to.

Coach Ejection

FYI

As per Section XI, if a coach is ejected they must leave the confines of the gym. If there is an Ass't coach they will take over the team.

If you are officiating a JHS contest and there is no Ass't., a NYS certified teacher within that district/school can take over the team.
The official is to ask this person if they are a NYS certified teacher within the district and enter their name and a note within both scorebooks for that contest in a prominent spot. Have them sign the scorebooks.
If no qualified teacher is available, the contest is over.
Custodians, secretaries, parents or auxillary personnel are not viable replacements.
