The History of CFD Investments Stadium in Highland Park
CFD Investments Stadium (historically known as Highland Park Stadium) was built in the mid 1900s and served as the home of minor league baseball teams for many years. First there was the independent Kokomo Giants and then the Kokomo Dodgers, an affiliate of the Brooklyn Dodgers and later the Los Angeles Dodgers. Both teams called Highland Park Stadium their home and Orlando Cepeda aka the Cha Cha Bull, one of baseball's all time greats and a Hall of Famer, played there before he went to the majors. After its affairs in professional baseball the stadium hosted adult/semi-professional teams such as the Kokomo Highlanders (Knights coach Bob Pattengale played for the Highlanders), the Kokomo CFD Saints, and starting in 2007; the Kokomo CFD Knights. The stadium originally set 7,000 but was rebuilt in 1985 and now sits from 3,000-3,500 fans depending on what source you depend on.

Kokomo's CFD Investments Stadium from the air is shown above. The stadium seats 3000 fans (Sections A-N on the picture above) and has additional room for hundreds more to stand or set up lawn chairs and watch the game from ground level. Near the entrance to the stadium is the press box which features restrooms and a concession were the type of food sold varies. There is also plenty of parking, all free, around the stadium. The South lot (next to Southside Little League) has approx. 130 parking spaces while the East lot has an estimate 30 spaces. Both lots are very close to the stadium's entrance. Also notice right field has a Fenway Park attribute. At just 270 feet to the outfield wall a large fence comes up from the wall and protects the houses behind the stadium. (Provided by Google Earth)
