At the beginning of the 2006 softball season, we instilled a new tradition to honor teachers, staff, and administration for all they do for Boone and our softball girls. This tradition was throwing out the first pitch for a softball game.
Each player on both varsity and JV were to pick a teacher, staff member, or administrator to throw out the first pitch for a game. These honored ones were also given a small token of appreciation by the player that selected them.
