MDFFA Power Rankings
Fall 2009
As of Week 6
1. Blaze (4-1) 145.42
A loss to the Arsenal hasn't knocked the Blaze too far down in the power rankings. But, it has brought them down closer to everyone else. They are entering their second Bye week. So, perhaps, more teams can start catching up. Will they be rusty after this layoff? November 1, we will have our answer!
2. Bengals (4-2) 98.95
The Bengals are winning most of the games they are supposed to. Now, in order to take that next step, they need to take care of the Trojans this week and the Arsenal next. These are not two easy teams. So, we will see if this bump into the #2 spot was just because of the numbers or if the numbers are foretelling a rise in the Bengals stock.
3. Scorpions (4-2) 98.35
Scorpions are just off of a Bye week and facing the Compound. This may be a surprisingly contested game.
4. Storm (3-2) 97.86
The Storm are scoring points and keeping themselves in the top of the Power Rankings. Is it the name change? Is it the shoes?
5. Packers (3-1) 85.72
The Packers are creeping along under the radar. They, too, are idle again this week.
6. Compound (3-3) 85.55
The Compound has a real test this week against the Scorpions. A win here could provide them momentum going into the final stretch of the season.
7. Giants (2-3) 78.22
The Giants are another Idle team this week. After beating the Packers, they have gone on a two game slide. Can they right the ship when they return on the 8th against the Blaze?
8. Brigade (3-2) 68.06
The Brigade have an interesting test this week. The Victors split from the Brigade in the Spring. So, this is always a good rivalry. Also, the Brigade is riding a 3 game winning streak.
9. Trojans (3-2) 66.76
After a 1-2 start, the Trojans have pulled it together. Can they keep it together? The Bengals are a good team and they are hungry to improve. But, the Trojans seem to be just as hungry.
10. Rebels (3-3) 46.15
The Rebels are another team that started off shaky at 0-3. Now, after going 3-0, they have to keep it up against the Victors who will have already played one game on Sunday. They will be warmed up and ready.
11-16.....If you find yourself below 10, do not fear. Especially if you are in the East Division. This one is up for grabs. This second half of the season will be VERY interesting.
