Freshmen Set the Pace in Catholic League
After opening the season with a home win over Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard, the Marlins went on the road, suffering a tough loss at Marian. Putting the loss behind them for the time being, the Marlins rebounded with convincing wins against Ladywood and Regina.
The Marlins returned home Thursday, 10/6/09, for a grudge match against Marian. At stake was a chance at redemption as well as a share of first place in the Catholic School League. After splitting the first two sets (25 to 22 win and 20 to 25 loss), the Marlins answered the call and took the Mustangs to task in the third set with a dominating 25 to 8 win in front of a roaring crowd!
