Student Coach Application (click here to download)
May 19, 2009

Dear prospective MYCA Student Coaches:

The Marshfield Youth Cheerleading Association is pleased to acknowledge any interest in participating in MYCA as a student coach. Student coaches are a vital part in the success of the organization and in the performance of each of its teams. Also, many high school seniors will receive extra credit on their scholarship applications because they have given back to the community. The more you give back, the more you will receive in scholarship money.

The rewards of student coaching are many and significant, and so are the commitments required of a student coach. It is important that each of you acknowledge and understand these commitments before agreeing to them. As a student coach you will be committing yourself to attendance at two-hour practices held two to three times each week and to Sunday games that last approximately three hours. Participation in Cheer and Dance Competition may add to the practice schedule. Furthermore, attendance at Cheer Camp may require you to contribute financially to the camp fees.

Please complete the application and return it to us. Applications must be postmarked no later than June1, 2009.

MYCA will make a reasonable effort to accommodate your squad preference, but it cannot be guaranteed. Also please note that due to limited space, not all applicants are guaranteed a student coach position. You will receive a notice in the mail that will state which team you will be student coaching or if we were unable to add you to our 2009 student coaching staff.

Questions regarding the form can be directed to Debra Mendes-Arey, MYCA President, at 508-747-1626 or myca1258@aol.com.

Sincerely,
The Board of Directors of MYCA
