The New England Cheer and Dance Competition will be held on Saturday, November 14^th @ the Reggie Lewis Track and Field Center in Boston, Ma. (near Northeastern University).

This year our OCYCA competition is also being held at the Reggie Lewis Center on Saturday, November 21^st !  ALL of our PYFC cheerleading squads will be competing in both competitions this year!

COMPETITION TIMES for New England Cheer and Dance Competition:

·        Both the Mite’s and Pee-Wee’s have a registration time of 11am.

·        Competition for Mites & Pee-Wee is scheduled to begin @ 12:30pm, with awards @ 3pm.

·        Midgets have a 2 pm registration time with a 3:30 pm start time with awards @ 5:30pm.

·        THESE TIMES ARE TENTIVE……… we are not notified of the final competition grid until the morning of Friday November 13^th. (Any team can register until the Wednesday, before the competition!) We will notify you via email if there is a significant change in the times.

·        Admission to the competition is $9.00 for adults and $3.00 for children (6 and under).

COMPETITION TIMES for OCYCA:

·        This competition is a bit different; each squad will be going into Boston separately because of the many teams competing!

·        Mites have a registration time of 9 am, with competition start time of 10 am.

·        Pee-Wee’s have a registration time of 11:30 am with a comp. start time of 12:30pm

·        Midgets have a registration time of 2:00 pm with a comp. start time of 3:00pm

·        Each competition is expected to run 2 hours in length

·        Tickets to the OCYCA competition are 10$, children 5 $

BUSES:

·        BUSES will be departing from the Pembroke Community Center back Parking lot!

·        Buses will drop off at the Pembroke Library …lighted parking lot!

·        ALL cheerleaders are REQUIRED to take the buses into the competition.

·        Mite and Pee-Wee’s may be dismissed after the awards to their families.

·        YOU MUST SIGN YOUR CHEERLEADER OUT W/ THE ADULT COACH.

·        NOVEMBER 14^th competition: our plan, is to depart @ 10 am , if there is a change in times we will notify you on 11/13. (please check your email after 11am., or our website)

·        Please arrive @ 9:45 am for bus boarding and attendance….

·        ALL CHEERLEADERS will be going to the New England Cheer and Dance Competiton together: this is MITES-PEE-WEE AND MIDGETS!

·        NOVEMBER 21^st competition (OCYCA) our buses will be depart and return the same,

·        BUS TIMES FOR OCYCA : Mites will leave @ 8 am, Pee-Wee’s 10:30am and Midgets @ 1 pm, please arrive 15 minutes early for boarding and attendance.

CHEERLEADERS LOCATION: *All Pembroke cheerleaders will be sitting in a section of bleachers together; you can find us by looking for the Pembroke signs made by our Mite cheerleaders!

Signs and horns and pom-poms are welcome at the Reggie Lewis Competition.

*When entering the R.L. center there is an A and B side of bleachers, cheerleaders face both the A side and the B side, please be sure to sit on the side that Pembroke is assigned. There should be a sign stating if we are A or B.  For OCYCA competition cheerleaders will sit on one side of bleachers( to watch other squads) and fans on the other.

*IMPORTANT!!!!  Please complete the medical release form immediately and return it back to your daughter’s adult coach/or Kathy Joyce. Your daughter will not be able to compete if this form is not completed and signed. I will also collect them at the football game.

CHEER CURLS- The cost of cheer curls w. shipping is 20.00$ .Please give your $ to your adult coach at practice ASAP. Please make checks payable to PYFC.

FOOD AND DRINKS – Please feed your daughter a good breakfast before they leave. Each squad will have a large cooler for drinks and a bagged lunch. Please label both lunch and drink with your child’s name. Your team Mom is organizing this, please see them for any help they may need or for any contributions.

BAGS: Each girls is able to bring a small bag in w. them, however they are responsible for the bag. The older girls carry their make-up and a drink/snack & a change of clothing. Please bring your PYFC clothing!

UNIFORMS-The girls should be in full uniform, and hair done up in a high pony tail w. their spectacular bow facing forward, when getting on the bus. Don’t forget cheer curls, Mites and Pee-Wee’s ! Please have clean sneakers, (they wash well w. a spray cleaner, and a wipe down!) Please check with your adult and/or student coaches to see what make up, if any, you will be wearing. Also be sure your daughter does not bring or wear any jewelry. Our coaches will not be responsible.

DRESS REHERSAL: we will be having a dress rehearsal at the Pembroke Middle School gymnasium for all the cheerleading squads on Thursday, November 12^th . Each squad will perform their entire routine in full, 3 times ! Cheerleaders should arrive in full uniform at 5pm for a final practice. The dress rehearsal will run 6:30-7:15:p ish……….

The girls have been working so very hard. We are SO VERY PROUD! We know they will do great and these competitions are so fun. All the other PYFC teams will be there cheering each other on! GO Titan cheerleaders! Please come and cheer them on!

Southeast Expressway (I. 93) North to exit 18 towards Mass Ave. / Roxbury. Stay straight and continue onto New Frontage Rd. Turn left onto Mass. Ave. Connector. Mass. Ave Connector becomes Melnea Cass Blvd. Follow until you reach the end. Turn left onto Tremont St. (Boston Police Station on your right hand side). The Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center is ¼ of a mile on your left.


Parking
First Option: Available right behind the Reggie Lewis Center, across from the Boston Police Station.

Second Option: Available at Roxbury Community College parking lot, at Cedar and Tremont Streets. Take a left at the light after the Reggie Lewis Center, parking lots are immediately to the right.
