2009 RESULTS
What can be said about this years event except "WOW"!!
After weeks of rain the clouds dried up and the sun came out. We golfed on a beautiful 80 degree day.
Registration took place at 12:30 and all who said they would be there came ready to play. Old friends met up for the first time in months and new friends were made.
With the large number of golfers this year, our shotgun start began at 1:30 and we were off. Two thirds of the teams managed rounds below par with the winning team of Tedd Teschner, Paul Bowers, John Elder, and Mike Bradley scoring a 63. Naturally with first place taken, last place was left to a group of 4 who shall remain nameless in an effort to protect the innocent. Trophies for first and last place were donated by Paul's Trophies.
"Longest Drive" winner Chris Como, Jr and "Closest to the Pin" winner Dave Eiler won their choice of available prizes which included a foursome at Pinelands Golf Course, or twosome to The Links at Brigintine, as well as drivers, putters, wedges and a number of golf shirts or accessories.
Dan Baran was unofficially voted "Best Dressed Golfer" ~ but we're not sure if it helped his game!
As part of our fundraising efforts, a foursome to the Pine Hill Golf Course was raffled off and won by Donna Bowers, and our 50/50 winner was Luke Mangaro.
Our day concluded with a BBQ including hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, and salads ~ all your favorite summer time food.
We'd like to thank the staff of Pinelands Golf Course for their hospitality and assistance in hosting this year's event, the Pine Hill Ram's Cheerleaders and Candlelite Florist for their support, and all the parents and coaches who organized, advertised, and attended this outing. Our football program has benefited from your time and generosity!
