2009 Home Run Hitters
This recognizes those players who hit out of the park home runs during the 2009 Allendale Season.
Congratulations!!
Tyler Urbach, Angels- 10
(2/24- first game of the season, first at bat- what a way to break the seal for the season
3/10 -#2 v Mets- in the street left center
3/14-#3 v Yankees)
#4- 5/5- went big, heard he is starting an auto repair business.
#5 - 5/9- vs Mets--- GRAND SLAM, goes huge and scores 4 , for the Angels 2nd Grand Slam of the season.
#6 - 5/9 vs Mets-- goes out of the ball park for the second time in the game; this time a 2 run shot. of the 12 runs the Angels scored in this game, "T" had 6 RBIs off of his home runs.
#7 - v Yankees. deep left center to score two runs.
#8 - v Cubs- lined drive to center field. Tyler completes the regular season with the most home runs in regular season in recent years.
#9- v Mets - in the playoffs. Continues to lead the league.
#10- v Yankees- Top of the 6th in his last at bat in his last game in Allendale
Riley Jones, Mets- 3
(2/26- first game of the season- goes yard- amazing job
3/14- #2 v Cubs
3/28- #3 v Yankees)
Quinn Schwab, Cubs-1
(2/28- Uses Opening Day to go yard for the first time- great job)
Trevor Provencio, Angels - 3
(3/14- his first home run ever- Congratulations!)
5/19- v Cubs - gets #2 in the last regular season game- a towering shot that ends up in Wallis Street. Nice going.
5/21- v Mets - hits a GRAND SLAM IN THE PLAYOFFS!!! Great job Trevor!
Henry Stellwagen, Yankees - 3
(3/21- Henry, desspite an injured right shoulder, goes deep to left center for his first of the season and the first for the Yanks. Good job Henry! With Henry's home run all major teams have hit a home run!)
4/23-gets his second against strong Mets pitching
5/2- Hits third in the fifth in a tight game against the Angels.
Grant Victor, Yankees- 2
4/23-goes yard against So Pas- First of his career- Great job Grant!
5/21- hit one out in the playoffs in a tough battle with the Cubs.
Elisabeth McAllister-Angels 1
5/2- Her First Home Run! She goes yard for the first time with a GRAND SLAM! I need to check with Andy Vollero, but that may be a first- to hit your first home run and have it be a Grand Slam!
Jack Lyddon- 1
5/9- Jack goes yard against the Yankees for his first home run ever in the Majors. Congrats Jack!
Zach Banks- Mets 1
Zach goes out of the ball park for the first time in a critical contest against the Cubs. Great job! Home Run gives the Mets a 1-0 lead at the time. Congrat Zach!
Matt Clossen- Mets 1
5/21- v Mets - Matt goes yard for the first time in the pressure of a playoff game. tough to do, Awesome job Matt!
Spencer Rouse- Cubs 1
5/30- in a playoff game- the toughest conditions to go yard- Spencer hits his first home run! Great focus, effort, and production! And he does it against the tough Angels' pitching in his last at bat at Allendale- what a memory!! Congratulations Spencer!
