Southeast Region of Pop Warner

The Southeast region consists of twelve conferences throughout the state of Florida ranging from Panama City to Miami. The Southeast Region's goal is to provide a safe and fun environment for its participants while instilling sportsmanship and encourage a solid scholastics achievement. Cheerleading, dance and football are taken seriously in the Southeast Region where athletes are challenged on the field as well as in the classroom. It is with great pride that the Southeast Region can boast a nine year streak of leading the nation in Scholastic All Americans. "Not only do we take our football and cheerleading serious, but we take our scholastics serious," says Regional Director Dennis Connors.

Southeast Region coaches are required to complete a three day coach's clinic where coaches participate in intense training sessions on risk management, coaching techniques, and Pop Warner rules and regulations. All coaches must pass a test at the end of the clinic to become a certified coach. Coaches are also required to pass a background check.

This year it is with great honor that the Southeast Region participates in a Tiny Mite Pilot program. The Southeast region was selected by the National office to participate in this instrumental program where the rules of play, field etiquette, and coaching selections are reviewed, and new rules established for the national Tiny Mite program. In addition to the coach's clinic, ALL Associations’ rostered adults must complete the TM clinic to become familiar with the Southeast Region rules for the Tiny-Mite pilot program. Tiny Mites are considered an entry level division designed for participants to have the opportunity to learn basic skills without the pressure of competition. These teams are "NOT" permitted to play a postseason game. Tiny Mite games are played under a running clock with "NO" score kept.
