The History of The Ohio Red Bulls

                                 Our History

Will Smith and wife Renee, who believed in giving the young men of the valley and surrounding areas a chance to show their talent, doing what they love, formed the team in November 2004.  The two came up with the name Red Bulls from their high schools that they graduated from.  Renee is a Campbell Red Devil and Will is a North High Bull Dog.

The team joined the United States Football Alliance League, which consisted of eight teams with a ten game season schedule.

The Bulls started their season off with a (47) player roster, many of whom played high school football in the valley and surrounded areas.  All of the Bulls home games were played at Campbell Memorial “John Knapick Field”.

The team ended their first year in a victory and shut out 14-0.

The team qualified for the playoffs as a wildcard with a 5-5 record, and upset their division rivals, Penn-Ohio Raiders (8-2) record, 23-6.  This earned them the right to play the powerful division champions, Beaver County Warriors (10-1) on the road for the AFC title and the right to advance to the USFA Championship.

The Bulls overcame the odds, 16-13, to set up the showdown against the (11-1) NFC Champions Columbus Cowboys.

The team ended their second season August 2006 with a 6-4 record.

The Ohio Red Bulls joined the NAFL for 2007

The Ohio Red Bulls won the 2007 Lake Erie Division on August 25, 2007 and are the Division Champions.  The Bulls are #1 in the Northern Conference (Great Lakes Region) as of 9/4/07.
Ranked #2 overall in the North American Football League as of 9/4/07.

Pepsi Cola sponsored the Ohio Red Bulls along with a host of local businesses.

Thank you and God Bless,

Will & Renee Smith
