GENERAL PARENT & COACHES GUIDELINE FOR :
LONG BALL, FAST BALL, HARD BALL, & SEMI-PRO BALL DIVISIONS:
Sandlot Ball is for the player's enjoyment, the player's competitive nature, the player's dreams of Major League stardom. This is a child's game, being played by children. Their succeses and failures during the season are their's alone, not a reflection on you. There is a fine line between shouting engouragement and pressure to perform at your hoped for leval of perfection. Therfore, we expect the parents to be spectators, seen but not heard. The 'coaches' are expected to bring the equipment bag on time, set the lineup and remain quiet. The sound of kids voices on a sandlot is a beautiful thing. Just sit back, relax, and watch The Game take its course. The kids do just fine on their own.
AND
ROOKIE BALL DIVISION
The 'coaches' bring the equipment bags. Everybody needs to pitch in. The kids will have a great time, but it's alot of work ! Enjoy it, they don't stay this tiny & cute forever !
