White Sands Sports will be hosting tournaments thorughout the year. Check the Tournament menu for more information on each tournament.
WSS will host 3 Rec. League team only tournaments and 3 Rec. League All-star team tournaments. These tournaments will be 2 pool play games on Saturday. With a single elimination tournament on Sunday Starting at 1:00 p.m.
World Series
(Qualification > Teams must play in the State Tournament)
> National League Rec. All-Star - July 4-8 >Mandeville, Louisiana
> Class 'A' - June 27-July 1 > Birmingham, Alabama
> Class ‘AA’ 9,12U - July 3-7 > Pace, Florida
> Class 'AA' 10,11,13U - June 27-July1 > Panama City, Florida
Rec. League Only Tournament
For a team to play in the a Rec. League team only tournament they will need a signed roster from their league commissioner stating all members of the team are on the same team.
State Tournament and Rec. League All-Star Tournaments
In the State Tournament we will have two divisions of play for Rec. All Star Teams via we have enough teams for two divisions of play.
>National League Division - The All-Star team can not have any players on the roster that have participated on an AAA team or higher. And only 3 players that have played travel ball no higher than AA after April 1.
>American League Division - The All-Star team players must have all participated in the Rec. League and the All-Star team cannot be travel ball team out of the park.
We will be hosting class 'A' tournaments throughout the year for the Rec. players to participate in and not mess up their eligibility to play in the National League Division. But if the team they play on starts winning the tournaments and/or plays up in the AA Division and constantly defeats 'AA' team the team would get bumped to an 'AA' team therefore making all players on the teams 'AA' travel players.
