The 2008 12U Fall Frenzy Championship was captued by the New Era Diamond Girls who defeated the Mississauga Tigers in the Championship game. The weather was fantastic whiched helped to make many of the very close games on the weekend, very enjoyable to watch. The following rankings were following Saturdays pool play.

The Cayuga Gamblers Silver (3-0)retained their title as the 16U Lady Luck Tournament Series Champions in Back to Back seasons with great defensive play on Friday and Saturday. Even though Sunday had to be completely washed out, all teams got at least 3 games in and enjoyed the facilities and hospitality of the host teams.Saturdays late rainy games were played but the Sunday rain would just not give up.The grounds crew did their best but after a early downpour on Sunday morn, the diamonds were deemed unsafe. A big thanks goes out to Time Warner for broadcasting 2 games on Saturday afternoon even through some constant rain. The following rankings were from all pool play

New Era Diamond Girls took the top spot this year at the 10U Lady Luck Tournament Series. The wet weather threatened all weekend but with the help of the Niagara Falls High School grounds crew and some patience by the managers and players, the tournament was finalized late Sunday. In a classic #1 vs #2 seed final, the Diamond Girls defeated the Pittsburgh Lady Roadrunners 9-4. The following rankings were decided after a pool play was finished. Syracuse Renegades took top spot in the 14U Lady Luck 2008 Tournament Series. They defeated WNY Sting Gold 4-3 in the Championship game.Highly competitive pool play with some very close games set up a nice set of games for Sundays elimination games. The weather was great and the diamonds were kept in excellent shape by the Niagara Falls High School grounds crew. THE 2008 12U LADY LUCK TOURNAMENT WEEKEND HAS COME AND GONE! THE HUGE CHAMPIONSHIP THROPHY WAS AWARDED TO THE AMHERST LIGHTNING WHO DEFEATED THE LOU GEHRIG LASERS IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. THE FINAL GAME WAS A CLOSE HARD FOUGHT BATTLE ENDING IN A 5 - 3 SCORE. IN THE ELIMINATION ROUNDS, BOTH THE #1 (SYRACUSE RENEGADES) AND #2 SEED (WNY STING) WERE DEFEATED MAKING THE CHAMPIONSHIP VERY INTERESTING. A BIG THANKS GOES AGAIN TO THE NFHS GROUNDS CREW WHO KEPT THE DIAMONDS IN EXCELLENT PLAYING SHAPE. ALSO TO ALL OF THE MANY VOLENTEERS FOR HELPING THE WEEKEND MOVING ALONG SMOOTHLY AND SAFELY!
