After the extended weather delay, our Midland Ozone Allstars came up a little short tonight 6-2 against the Alabama Allstars. It was a 0-0 ballgame until the 3rd inning and Alabama put 3 on the board. Alabama added 2 more in the 4th to make it 5-0. Midland started out the 5th with a Landon Lucas solo HR and Justin McGee scored on a hit from Dustin Lee to make it 5-2. It was just not Midlands night as Alabama added on 1 more in the bottom of the 5th to bring the final score after 6 innings, 6-2. Midland will have the chance to reload tomorrow afternoon at 5:45 against Florida. HOLD YOUR HEAD HIGH Midland, we are very proud out you!!!!!......CALLING ALL MIDLAND FANS to come out and help our Midland Ozone Allstars SHOW DIXIE YOUTH BASEBALL WHAT MIDLAND PRIDE IS ALL ABOUT TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!

******2014 MIDLAND DYB WS GAME 2*******

Midland won their 2nd game this afternoon of the journey in the DYB WS. The final after 4 innings was Midland 11 -1 . Sam LaFarge and Cam Beckham finished of the inning hitting back to back doubles adding one more run to seal the game making the Final 11-1. They will play again on Tues @8pm

Midland has prevailed in their opening game of the 2014 Dixie Youth Baseball World Series being held in Lexington, SC.  After resuming their rain delayed game from last night that was stopped in the top of the 2nd inning with Midland beating Mississippi 6-2, they finished up today with a 19-5 win.  This game was definitely a team effort.  The long ball was the story of the game today. 

Raulin Jeffcoat – 2HR’s- 2run and 3run
Landon Lucas – 1HR – 2run
Reign Lybrand – 1hr – 2run
Justin McGee – 1HR-3run
Dustin Lee- 3HR’s- all 2runs

 

Midlands next game will be today 10 Aug at 5:45 (probably a little delay) against Virginia

Our Midland DYB State Champion Ozone Allstars will begin there journey in the 2014 Dixie Youth Baseball World Series tonight at 8pm at the Lexington Baseball Complex. Come on our and show your support for the talented young baseball players and show your Midland Pride!!!!! If you are not able to attend, the game is being broadcast on the internet at jockjive.

***2014 SC DYB MINOR STATE ALLSTAR TOURNAMENT***

 

23 Jul

 

Well unfortunately or 2014 Midland Minor Allstars season came to an end last night as they came up a little short in their final game of the 2014 South Carolina Dixie Youth Baseball State Championship Tournament in Florence.  It was an up and down game but when the dust settled it was Sumter 6 and Midland 5. 

We are very proud of our Midland Minor Allstar Team.  You all should be very proud of what you have accomplished this year.  These Allstar players got started by playing a 20 game season and showed the coaches, parents, and fans that they were the 12 best players of the Midland Minor league division.   Their baseball play during the season earned them a position on the 2014 Midland Ozone Allstar Team.   From the first game of the Sub District though the last game they played in the SC DYB Minor State Tournament, they played with desire, intensity, and heart.  Abilities and capabilities were shown with 11 wins and 2 losses sweeping through the Sub-District and District Tournaments undefeated with 9 wins outscoring opponents 118-22.  Through these Tournaments they only played 2 full six inning games holding 8 teams to 4 or less runs.  Through all the tournaments played in, they were 11-2, scoring 148 to 38 runs, holding 10 teams to under 4 runs and a no hitter in their first game in the SC DYB Minor State Tournament.  A VERY good set of stats!!!!!......SO HOLD YOUR HEADS UP HIGH GUYS!!!!!!.....We are very proud of what you accomplished!!!

22 July

 

Just in.....They got rained out last night, but Our Midland Minor Allstar team came back and defeated Hilton Head today 3-2. Refusing to go down, the Midlands defense came to play ball and it showed by turning a double play to cut the runners down while Bryson Moss and Furman Senterfeit handled the batters from the mound. They will play Sumter tomorrow night at 6pm. Come on out and show your MIDLAND PRIDE!!!.....GREAT JOB MIDLAND!!!

 

 

21 July

 

Game for our 2014 Midland Minor Allstar team at the SC DYB State Tournament in Florence (Freedom Park) has been cancelled due to weather and is rescheduled for tomorrow at 1pm

 

 

20 July

 

Unfortunately our Midland Minor Allstars came up a little short tonight against Delmae. They took a hard loss 8-2. They WILL BE BACK AND READY TO PLAY the Hilton Head Allstars tomorrow night @ 8pm. Come on out and support them at Freedom Park in Florence........GOOOO MIDLAND!!!!!!

 

 

19 July

 

Our 2014 Midland Minor District 4 DYB Champions got things started in their first game in the 2014 SC DYB State Champions this morning. Midland put up an amazing display as they blew past Barnwell 20-0. Yep....0....actually.....a no hitter to be exact, thanks to the pitching from Hunter Livingston and Tyler Dasher. They will contuse the journey tomorrow night at 8pm against Delmae. WAY TO GO MIDLAND!!!!!!

 

15 July

 

Our Midland Minor Allstar Team is getting ready for the SC DYB State Minor Allstar Tournament that begins this weekend.  Midland will be the first game of the tournament on 19 July at 9am in Florence, SC.  Come out and support our Allstars and show your MIDLAND PRIDE .

***2014 SWANSEA DISTRICT MINOR ALLSTAR TOURNAMENT***

 

9 July

  

MIDLAND WINS……MIDLAND WINS….MIDLAND WINS….MIDLAND WINS!!!

Our Midland Minor Allstar Team are the 2014 SC DYB District 4 Minor Allstar Team Champions and have earned a spot to compete at the SC DYB Minor State Championship Allstar Tournament.   It was a close game tonight but the pitching by Bryson Moss, Tyler Dasher, Furman Senterfeit , and the Midland Stellar defense, held Lexington to 1 run.   Hunter Haygood broke up a 0-0 game to send in 2 runs to put Midland up on the board.  Later in the game, Blake Palyok laid down a bunt to send the 3rd run for Midland.   CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR MIDLAND SC DYB DISTRICT 4 MINOR ALLSTAR CHAMPIONS…….GREAT JOB!!!!!

***2014 SWANSEA DISTRICT MINOR ALLSTAR TOURNAMENT***

 

8 July

  

 

Our Midland Minor Allstars got it done big and in a hurry tonight. They took the win over Dentsville 14-4 in 4 innings. Dentsville got off to a early lead but after a Grand Slam by Carson Brown making it 7-4, there was no looking back. There are only 2 teams left in the tournament, Midland with no losses and Lexington with 1 loss. They play tomorrow night at 7pm and with a win, our 2014 Midland Minor Allstars will be District 4 Champions. Should the Lexington team pull one out, they would have to come back on Thursday and beat Midland again......Congratulations MIDLAND.......show Lexington what MIDLAND PRIDE is all about!!!!!.

Our Midland Minor Allstar Team got it done tonight!!!! Close game but our Allstars beat the Dentsville Allstars 6-1. This win would not have been possible without our defense on their game and some outstanding pitching from Tyler Dasher, Furman Senterfeit, and Hunter Livingston. Their only 3 teams left in the tournament with other teams losses tonight. Come on out and support our Midland Allstars tomorrow as they face the Dentsville team again at 7pm at the Swansea DYB Complex.

 

6 July

  

The District 4 Minor Allstar Tournament got started Saturday in Swansea. Our Midland team had the first round bye so their first game of the tournament was on Sunday. Lexington beat Gilbert so Midlands first opponent was be the Lexington Team.  Lexington started out with a bang scoring 3 runs in the first inning. Our Midland players dug in and came back to beat them 12-4 in their first game in the District 4 Minor Allstar Tournament.

2 July

  

Can you say.....2014 GASTON SUB DISTRICT 4B MINOR ALLSTAR TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS????   Our Midland Minor Allstars clinched the Championship tonight by beating Gilbert 14-1.  Bryson Moss and Tyler Dasher combined to keep the Gilbert team to only 1 run with a little help from their defensive friends.  Bryson Moss had his MIDLAND PRIDE on display tonight sending the Gilbert outfielders to the fence....as they watched his HR clear the fence. CONGRATULATIONS.....MIDLAND MINOR ALLSTARS SUB DISTRICT 4 CHAMPIONS!!!     ****MIDLAND PRIDE****

Our Midland Minor Allstar team continued to drive on to the championship game with a win 13-3 over Medowlake tonight. Blake Palyok to the Medowlake pitcher for a solo home run tonging. With this win Midland and Gilbert are the only remaining teams in the tournament and Midland is the only undefeated team. They will play Gilbert tomorrow night at 7pm. With a win, Midland will be the Gaston Sub District Champions. If they should come up a little short, Gilbert would have to come back on Thursday and beat them again.

The Minor Allstar game schedled last night in Gaston against Meadowlake was cancelled do to weather conditions.  It has been rescheduled to be played tonight at 7:30pm.  Come on you and display your MIDLAND PRIDE.

Well Sports Fans.....our 2014 Midland Minor League Allstars picked up another win tonight!!!  They trailed early in the frist inning 4-0 but closed it down after that as Midlands batters continued to send base runners across homeplate as the stellar defense held Gilbert to only 2 additional runs.  After all the dust settled, Midland was the victor of a 18-6 win in 4 innings.  Tonights game (30 Jun) will be against Meadowlake at 8pm.  Come join us and display your MIDLAND PRIDE 

 

28 June

 

Well our 2014 Midland Minor League Allstars are off and running again today!!!  They were victorious over Gaston (a lot) and will move further into the tournament.  With the arms of Bryson Moss, Hunter Livingston, Tyler Dasher, and Furman Senterfeit, the Midland Minor Allstar team held Gaston to a 2 hitter game.  Tomorrows game will be against Gilbert at 8pm.  Come on out and show your MIDLAND PRIDE  

 

27 June

 

Our 2014 Midland Minor League Allstars started out tonight in a blaze of fire!!!   They won by.....lets just say "A LOT".  The pitchers tonight (Tyler Dasher & Hunter Livingston), along with their defense behind them,  combined to keep the Dentsville offense to only 1 hit.  Blake Palyok, Bryson Moss, and Hunter Livingston had the Dentsville outfielders standing at fence....as they watched each of their HOMERUNS sail over the fence.  Their next agme will be tomorrow at 12pm.   WAY TO GO MIDLAND!!!!.....shinning with MIDLAND PRIDE!!!

The Title of SC DYB Ozone State Champs is getting closer and closer for our Midland Ozone Stars.  Tonight Lexington hit a home run to put make the score Midland 3 and Lexington 1, but it just wasn't enough.  In the bottom of the 6th, Lexington had a double and a single to place runners on 1st and 3rd with 1 out to make it interesting.  Then Landon Lucas went on a mission and struck out the next 2 batters for Midland to take the win.   Midland will play Seneca in a rematch tomorrow morning at 10am.....with a win....the 2014 Midland Ozone DYB Allstars will be the SC DYB Ozone Champions and will represent SC in the 2014 DYB Ozone World Series.....LET'S GO MIDLAND!!!!!! 

 

 

15 July (pm)

 

 

On the very first pitch of the game tonight Raulin Jeffcoat set the tone when he hit a solo HR.  Our Midland Ozone team continued to drive towards their goal of being the SC DYB State Ozone State Champions by defeating Seneca tonight 4-0.  Great Job MIDLAND!!!!!!  Midland continues their march towards the Championship tomorrow evening at 8pm when they play Lexington at 8pm

First let me apologize for the delay in the status updates. Now to the good stuff…., Midland Ozone Allstar is team started out the gates with a goal in mind.  They played their first game against Edgefield County and came out on top with a 6-5 hard fought victory.  On Sunday they played the Lancaster American team and won 6-3.  Our Midland team had a bye last night and were able to get a little break.  There are only 2 undefeated teams left in the SC DYB Ozone State Tournament, Midland and Seneca, which will square off tonight at 8pm.

***2014 DISTRICT 4 OZONE TOURNAMENT UPDATES***

 

 

3 July

 

2014 DISTRICT 4 OZONE ALLSTAR TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS....has a nice sound to it doesn't it. Well that is the title of our 2014 Midland Ozone Allstar team has earned. They beat the Lexington Allstar team last night 5-0 to earn the title. Midland was leading 1-0 in the 5th inning last night when Dustin Lee stepped up to the plate and make it a 4-0 lead with one swing of the bat after his 3 run HR. Not to let him be the only one, Reigh Lybrand followed with a solo HR to make it 5-0. The Midland Ozone Allstar defense took care of the rest to seal the win. This team has gone undefeated through the DYB Sub District 4B and the District 4 Tournaments. With this win they are headed to the SC Dixie Youth Baseball Tournament that begins next Saturday at 12:30pm in Hartsville, SC. More info to come later of times, opponents, and brackets. CONGRATULATIONS MIDLAND OZONE ALLSTAR TEAM!!!!! GREAT Job, and Good Luck in the State Tournament.

Our 2014 Midland Ozone Allstars secured them a place in the SC DYB Ozone State Tournament tonight by beating Chapin 10-2.  Raulin Jeffcoat set the tone as he hit a solo HR to start the night out.  Justin McGee followed his lead later in the game with a 3 run HR.  Midland will play Lexington tomorrow at 7pm.  A win will seal it and they will have won the 2014 DYB District 4 Ozone Allstar Tournament, if they should slip a little, Lexington will have to come back and beat them a second time.   CONGRATULATIONS Midland Ozone Allstars.....Great JOB, we are proud of you all!!.

Our Midland Ozone team had their hands full tonight with the Lexington Allstar team. Trailing 3-0 in the 6th inning, Midlands Cameron Beckham hit a single to score 2 runs. Later in the inning, Lexington pitcher committed a balk which advanced to the tying run home. In the bottom of the 8th inning, Matthew Hickman got a single to start things out. After 2 passed balled he advanced to 3rd. Up to the plate came Raulin Jeffcoat, his single advanced Hickman home for the winning run.

The Ozone Allstar game schedled last night in Gaston against Lexington was cancelled do to weather conditions.  It has been rescheduled to be played tonight at 8:00pm.  Come on you and display your MIDLAND PRIDE.

Our 2014 Midland Ozone Allstars picked up right where they left off last week by convincing defeating the Dentsville team today. They have a bye on Sunday and will not play again until Monday night at 8pm against the winner of Sundays game between Lexington and Pineview. Come on out and show your MIDLAND PRIDE

Its Official, our 2014 Midland Ozone Allstars are the Swansea Sub District 4B Allstar Tournament Champions. Sam LaFrage scored the go ahead run (9-8) off of a Hunter Jackson single. CONGRATULATIONS MIDLAND OZONE ALLSTARS!!!!!

24 June

Midlands Ozone game has been suspended until tomorrow evening at 6:30pm due to weather conditions. It is all tied up 8-8, top of the 6th inning with Midland batting and Sam LaFrage on first with no outs. If Chapin wins this game the Championship Game will shortly follow......HOWEVER......if Midland pulls away......Its a done deal and the 2014 Midland Ozone Allstars will be the Swansea Sub District 4A Champions.....LETS GO MIDLAND PRIDE!!!!!

 

23 June

Our Midlands Allstars are currenlty in a lightning delay.  It is tied up in the 6th 8-8.  Congratulations to Raulin Jeffcoat Starting out the game with the 1st pitch GOING YARD!!!  Young Mr. Lybrand came back and hit a 3 run shot of his on later in the game.  I will update soon.

22 June

Our 2014 Midland Ozone Allstars are getting it done with a win tonight.  Camron Beckham went yard with a 2 run blast as they went on to win 19-0 against Irmo.  They will be playing the winner of the game tonight between Irmo and Meadowlake.   They will be moving on and playing Chapin on Tuesday 6pm.  If they win in this game....The are the Swansea Sub District 4B Champions.  If they should lose, they will be playing Chapin again on Weds @ 7pm for the tournament Championship.  Come on out and support our Midland Ozone Allstars and let that MIDLAND PRIDE shine.

21 June

Our 2014 Midland Ozone Allstars are off and running with another win tonight. A couple more players went yard tonight with their win against Chapin 12-2. Landon Lucas had a 2 run HR and Raulin Jeffcoat with a solo HR. They will be playing tomorrow, Sunday 22 Jun 2014 at 8pm, against Irmo. Come on out and support our Midland Ozone Allstars and let that MIDLAND PRIDE shine.

 

20 June

Our 2014 Midland Ozone Allstars got off to a great start with a early win tonight.  A few of our players started out with BOOMS; Landon Lucas 2 run HR in the first inning, Sam Lafrage 3 run HR in the 3rd and that was followed by a Tank Best with a solo HR.  They will be playing the winner of the game tonight between Irmo and Meadowlake.   That game will begin at 6pm.  Come on out and support our Midland Ozone Allstars and let that MIDLAND PRIDE shine.

Unforturnately our 2014 Midland C-Pitch National Allstar Team came up a little short this past weekend at the District 4 Allstar Tournament at the Gaston DYB Complex. They played at 10am on Saturday 14 June 2014 and was out lasted by Pineview National 8-7.  They had to play again that evening at 7:30 and had a tough loss of 6-3.  This brought our Midland C-Pitch National Allstars season to an end.  Although this loss closed out their Allstar play for the 2014 season, we could not be more proud of them.  You all can hold you heads high, for you have displayed your...MIDLAND PRIDE...for everyone to see.

On Monday evening our 2014 Midland C-Pitch National Allstar team came up a little short against Blythewod but finished 2nd in the Blythewood Dixie Youth District 4 Sub District Allstar Tournament.  By finishing  2nd, they will advance to the District 4 Tournament being held in Gaston starting on Friday 13 June 2014.  The will join The top 2 teams from the District 4 Sub District Tournament that was held at our Midland DYB Complex this past weekend (Lexington National-1st, Pineview National-2nd) .  Sooooo……come on down to Gaston and show some of that MIDLAND PRIDE for our Midland C-Pitch National Allstar Team.

The verdict is in.....The 2014 Midland C-Pitch National Allstar Team has qualified to play in the SC District 4 Dixie Youth Baseball Allstar Tournament.  They beat Dentsville American 10-9 last night at 6pm to earn a spot in the SC District 4 Allstar Tournament.  Midland will play the Blythewood Allstar team tonight at 6:30pm for the Blythewood Dixie Youth Baseball Sub District Allstar Tournament Championship.....everyone come out tonight and show your...MIDLAND PRIDE

The Midland C-Pitch National Allstar Team played again tonight at 6pm.  They beat the Lexington American team 9-3 and will be playing Dentsville American at 6pm on Sunday 8 June 2014 in Blythewood at the C-Pitch Dixie Youth Sub District Allstar Tournament.

Our 2014 Midland C-Pitch National Allstar Team out lasted the Pinevew American Allstar Team this mooring at 10am in Blythwood. They move on and will play again this afternoon at 6pm in Blythewood at the C-Pitch Dixie Youth Sub District Allstar Tournament.

Unfortunately the our 2014 Midland C-Pitch American Allstar Team was out scored by the Lexington National League Allstar team this morning at 10am at the Midland DYB Allstar Tournament. This was their 2nd loss and eliminates them from the Midland DYB Sub District Allstar Tournament. We would like to congratulate them on all their hard work this year to get to the Allstars and play in the tournament. You played hard guys and we are very proud of you.

 

6 June 2014

Unfortunately both of our Midland C-Pitch Teams fell tonight. The C-Pitch American Allstars came up a little short in extra Innings to CWC 8 - 7. Our Midland C-Pitch National Allstars lost to Lexington (I) 9-7.
