NOTE:
There are 1 hr 45 minutes scheduled between games but there is no time limit, games must be complete.

All Associations playing must have 2 volunteers for the chain crew for each game. Have your chain crew meet Lester in the end zone by the concession stand 15 minutes before your game time for instructions.

All teams have a good roster for your coach to present at mid-field and e-mail me one for backup by this Friday 12/2/2011.

All teams must exit playing field after handshake so the next game may begin

Remember to tell your association, a coach pass will not get coaches who aren’t playing in, only playing teams Presidents send me a list of your coaches for each team

This is the semi-finals and all teams need to present their best sportsmanship behavior, there will be many eyes watching us all.

Remind your fans please, we are dealing with kids, no derogatory chants or behavior towards the opposing team will be tolerated.

Good luck to all, lets enjoy our games at JCJC.

Playoff Meeting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

November 6, 2011 – 02:00 PM

Presidents,

All teams that make the playoffs will meet @ 2:00 Sunday at the Sumrall Seniors building in Sumrall.

All Little eight teams that would like to enter the Little 8 championship games should also attend, if you can't attend please email me before Sunday and let me know what teams you would like to enter.

Also, there will be several bowls awarded through the playoffs, send me a request if you are intrested.

I know a lot of us will be disbanding after Saturday, but I wanted to remind everyone that MYFAI Day at the rock will be November 26, USM VS MEMPHIS. This is something great for the coaches to do with their team to end the year, we will also have the tail gate party.

New MYFI SPORTSMANSHIP Award, plus Cash!!

November 1, 2011

Presidents,

In an effort to promote sportsmanship, this week and through the playoffs I will be giving a $50.00 savings bond and a plaque to one player each week, this player will also be hi-lited on our web page for the week he is chosen.

Here is how it will work:

Have each of your coaches pick one player from the team that they play each week. ( So, Sumrall Plays Seminary this week, each head coach of Sumrall will pick a Seminary player to nominate, Seminary head coaches will pick a Sumrall player)
Send them all to me, I will send out a certificate to every player nominated.
Then I will draw one name out for the MYFAI Sportsman of the week award.

This will continue all the way to USM and will include the Little eight in their playoffs.

PLEASE assist me in making this happen, and hopefully a few hundred dollars in Bonds will get our players fired up to do the "right" thing everytime, and maybe start a few on the road to learning to save money and support our Nation at the same time.

I hope each of you will schedule a few seconds to tell your players and Coaches about this and you will push it as hard as possible, wouldn't be great if we had two or three players trying to help one player up after a tackle!

Season Opening Day - Changed

September 6, 2011
Presidents,

The season will begin on September 17 this year, not the 10th. It The districts have worked out to 8 and we do not have the need for the extra week of playoffs, this will also give all leagues needing it ample time to complete their weigh-ins as needed and get their books in order. The entire schedule will be sent out at the end of this week baring any unexpected changes. Thank you all for caring about our youth.

"Chili's Bowl"

As a thank you to Chili's for their support, MYFAI will host a "Chili Bowl" game this year at USM during our state championships on the 11th of December. We are very pleased to announce that the Petal White Rookies and Prentiss Rookies have been selected by MYFAI to participate in the inaugural "Chili's Bowl".

Gameday - Video's at USM

December 11, 2010
** Click here for forms and info **
Guys,
From past experience, this is a first class operation. The video is
professionally made and voice over to simulate a pro game, so far every parent
who participated has said the finished product was great.

Here are the two flyers that will need to be sent to the Coaches to
send to their parents. We will also need a roster from each team
for the games to call the play-by-play. The first flyer explains Gameday to the
parents and
gives the price. The second flyer is the Player Information form the
parents who buy a DVD need to fill out so our Announcer can talk
specifically about their child during the game.

MYF Day at the ROCK!

November 20, 2010 – 03:30 PM
** Map to Hospitality Tent **
I hope everyone is excited about the MYFAI day at the Rock! This should be a great game!

As you know game time is 7pm, and MYFAI will have our first ever tailgate party! Attached is a map to where our tent will be set up. We will be there and set up around 3:30 (anyone who can help is urged to meet me there.)

As you can see on the map we will be set up just west of the North endzone. If you get there and have trouble finding the tent just call my cell phone and we will walk you to us, 601-543-5279.

I am proud to let everyone know that Chili's resturant will be serving several food and drink items at our tailgate party Saturday. I think this is a great thing for our Association and our kids, so everyone plan to came enjoy the pre game activities with us and our newest freind and supporter!

They will also be giving the kids grab bags full of different goodies, and have a drawing for gift cards. MYFAI will also give several door prizes away.

2010 Playoff Meeting

November 7, 2010 – 02:00 PM
Guys;

The 2010 playoff meeting will be held in Sumrall at the senior citizens center, (the small building), on Sunday November 7th at 2PM. Due to VERY limited seating we are declaring this a presidents or their single proxy, meeting only. Not a proxy for each team in your association that makes the playoffs. This is NOT a coaches meeting, the chairs will be assigned to the teams president or proxy making the playoffs and all others will be standing or outside, depending on room. Little 8 meeting will be handeled at a different time. Presidents, if you do not plan to attend send myself or Tom the name of your authorized proxy person, that person will be responsible to represent and report back to you.

Referee Certification

We will be holding referee certification classes for all of our referees. By getting this certification these referees will be exposed to a higher detail of our rules and hopefully this will eliminate any confusion. In order to make this class as effective as possible we would like for you to send us a list of rules that are most often misunderstood in your experience. Presidents please take this opportunity to talk to all of yourcoaches and get the information from them as well.

Please e-mail your list to either or both of us at:

MYFAI 2010 safety program

Presidents,

In an effort to improve the safety of our players, and to be sure we are all involved in the single most important part of what we do I have appointed a Safety Czar for Mississippi Youth Football.

He will hold the rank of District Deputy this year and Vice Commissioner in 2011. He will work closely with Dr. Joe Repetti and will report directly to me.

He will schedule lots of additional, optional, training for our coaches (and cheer sponsors) who would like to participate.

Each week he will send out "safety sirens" and safety tips to each president. He will also send out practice guide lines for practicing in the heat and other important information that each of you can use to improve your teams while keeping them safe.

I have ask him to implement a injury reporting program so that we can compile information and make fact based decision on future rule changes to keep our players safe as possible, I would ask each of you to fully participate and to contact him with any suggestions you may have.

Our new Safety officer is Anthony McBride, Mr. McBride is a graduate of Leland high school. He has a BS degree in Political Science, a Masters degree in Public Administration and is presently working on his Doctorate degree in Health and Safety Education.
Anthony is married and has four children.

He coaches at Sacred Heart , is very active in several Christian youth programs as well as youth leadership programs. He is employed by Johnson Controls of Hattiesburg as their Safety Manager.

Anthony's contact information:
Anthony McBride, 601-408-3839, email: DRMACBRIDE26@YAHOO.COM

Please join me in thanking Anthony for agreeing to assist our Association.

Books & Presidents meeting...

September 20, 2009 – 02:00 PM
This Sunday at 2pm we have a presidents meeting at the senior citizens building in sumrall to turn in your 2009 books. For all the new Presidents, that is the old building we used several times in the past. It is on the left of 43, behind Latori's restaurant. Remember , You will not be able to play the next Saturday's game until your books are in, so if you can not come, send them by someone in your organization. This IS NOT a coaches meeting, the building is FAR too small for that, so Presidents or their designate ONLY.

Thank You For Caring About Our Youth.

"The Brawl in Sumrall"

September 12th is the date.
"The Brawl in Sumrall"
We will do a couple extra things this year, we will have 40 yard dash for the each age group, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 year olds, each league should find your two fastest players, with all equipment on, in each age group and we will crown one kid in each group "Fastest 7 year old in Larmar County".Remember, full football gear must be worn during the race.

Also we will have a jumping deal set up for the younger kids and a Dunking booth, yes for only $1.00 you can have a chance to dunk the Commissioner!!! (We think this will be a hugh money maker!)

I would also like to include our flag teams this year. Lumberton has 5 & 6 year old tackle and I would like to include them also if we can get them someone to scrimmage that day.

Most of all we plan to have a GREAT day of fun and fellowship with all our fellow Lamar County kids and Parents.

Schedule of events will be published as soon as everyone declares their teams.

August 16, 2009 – 02:00 PM
ThE coaches certification / coaches meeting will be held in the Smith County Multi Purpose building at Raleigh this Sunday August 16th beginning at 2PM. 2009 Announcements and Initial Dates...

Presidents,

I know most of you are right in the middle of baseball, but I wanted to lay out a brief outline of what we have going on right now.
First and foremost, I am very concerned over the current economy, which could have a very negative effect on our local leagues. To help offset this, we will waive for the 2009 season only the $2.00 per player fee or tax. Any outstanding loans or deferred fee’s from 2008 and before will automatically be extended until November 2010.

I would ask each league use this money to help kids in their area who may not be able to play due to financial hardships.

If your league is experiencing other problems PLEASE let me know as early as possible, that is what we have an association for, to help each other during difficult times, but if you don’t let me know I can’t help.
Next, because this may be a very difficult year for a lot of our leagues, it is very important th at we get off to a fast, smooth start. If you are an outgoing President please send me the contact information for your replacement as soon as possible. Also be sure they have my contact information as well.

If you are currently working with a new league, let me know who and where ASAP so we can start early as possible looking at any scheduling conflicts that may be created. I am looking at using last years schedule as an inverted road map to possibly aid in having the complete schedule by Labor Day weekend.

Please send me contact information for your cheer sponsors, last year several teams were not contacted about the competition, and we want everyone who would like to participate to do so.

Larry Bellipanni, JL Breazeale and myself meet with USM today and worked out most of the details of this year’s partnership with them.

Here are the main dates, some of which MAY change:
· June 5th through the 7th – USM/MYFAI Youth Camp – Larry Bellipanni will be directing our efforts with the camp this year, he will send out additional information as soon as it becomes available. Please contact Larry if you or your coaches would like to help this year. Information will also be posted on our website as updates become available. Last year we drew about 150 kids, and had 5 or 6 of our leagues who worked directly with USM on PR, advertising and all the little things it takes to be successful. We also had 10 to 12 of our coaches working the camp it’s self. Last year the coaches learned more than our players.

· August 9th – Presidents ONLY meeting. Time20and location to be announced at a later date.

· August 16th – Coaches meeting, NYSA certification, and, most importantly, the annual cook out. Time and location to be announced at a later date. (I promise it will be a larger location than last year!)

· August 29th – USM walk through and weigh in.

· September 12th – Opening day (this could be changed to the 19th due to conflicts with Jones or USM field availability)

· November 21 -6:30 pm Mississippi Youth Football day at the Rock, USM Vs Tulsa in a game most believe will determine the Conference USA Champion. Tickets will remain $1.00 for players, cheerleaders, coaches and sponsors. Parent and other tickets sold by your league will be $14.00, same as last year.

· November 21 – North/South State Semi Finals at Jones Jr. College

· November 28 – Thanksgiving Break

· December 5th – Little 8 Championships – 5 &6 Year old Championship - Location TBD, Possibly Pearl River CC or MGCCC.

· December 12th – State Championships at USM

Let me know if you have any suggestion or issues that need to be resolved or addressed before the start of the season. Be sure I have your up to date contact information.

Start watching the web page for additional information as it becomes available. The web address should be clickable below (if I did it right). If you have information, pictures are other items of interest about your local league just contact JL and he will post it for you.

Join in the fun on the forum, lots of braggin’ and a little lie’n goes on in there. One word of caution, any one who post anything inappropriate or uses the forum to post negative comments (bash) about ANY, coach, officer, league or the Association will be banned.
Feel free to ask questions, make positive comments and have fun!

Last Minute Changes to Week 8 !!!!! LOOK

October 29, 2013

Presidents:

Notice the lines highlighted in orange and notify your teams, these are the changes that had to be made due to teams dropping out and makeup games that were missed.

Notice the time changes due to added, dropped or moved games and flag games having an extra 15 minutes so the last two minutes on the clock can be ran like tackle rules in each half.

On another matter. The playoff meeting is set for Sunday November 3 at 2 PM in Sumrall at the old senior citizens center. Each president that has a team in the playoffs needs to attend or have a representative in attendance. Also each president that has a team eligible for the little 8 and wants to participate needs to attend as that bracket will be filled in at this meeting. Please limit the number of people you bring as we will be limited in seating.

Thank you for caring about our youth

Had to swap games for Lake, pisgah, Pelahatcie and Meridian blue rookies to fill division games so please look at the schedule closely. Remember, the flag and tinamite tournaments begin in week 8, Tom will be sending out the flag games and places and Johnny will set the Tinamite rounds and locations. this will be out by next week.

Games at Richton 10/26/13

The scheduling times for the games at Richton october 26, have been changed to accommodate the visiting Teams parent/ sibling considerations. The new times are; Richton vs Oak Grove gold peewee at 11:30, Sandhill vs Purvis rookies at 2:30.

Thanks to all involved in the swap. A special thanks to Reggie Dykes for working out this compromise and getting the games scheduled in a manner that puts all visiting teams playing back to back. It's getting far too easy for teams to decide to take a bye or just outright forfeit when the schedule does not interest them.

Thank you for caring about our youth.

Week 7 Schedule 10/26/2013

Attached is the orginal Week 7 Schedule for 10/26/2013.  There have been some modifications that are not reflected on this schedule.  Example, Games at Richton ( see above post for details).

You should always contact the hosting league president to ensure posted times are still the same.  It is always possible that they are forced to change the game times.  If they do, it is required for them to contact all teams playing and the assigning referees.

Week 8 information and Flag Football

October 21, 2013

Presidents,

The week 8 schedule will be out tomorrow. We will have some changes to week 7 due to Division games considerations, everyone please look that over before the games on October 26, but I have contacted the teams involved and notified them of the changes.

Week 8 will also be the beginning of the Tinamite playoff tournament and all involved needs to get their win loss record to Johnny Dear ASAP. Week 8 will see the beginning of a flag tournament as many of you have asked for in the past. The flag tournament will be a single elimination playoff system that will culminate in a championship game at JCJC on November 23. If any of you do not wish to participate please contact Tom Polk or myself, otherwise you will be entered in and notified when and where you will play your first game.

Thank you for your patience and caring about our youth,

Lester Ivy

Meridian Star

Presidents,

The Meridian Star has requested to publish all our scores and hi-lite a player of the week once a week.

We will be sending them the scores and would like each of you to nominate one player each week and do a short write up on them. I will draw one each week to send them. Their dead line is Monday at 10 AM so you must send me your scores and your nomination by Sunday evening to be considered.

We are working on a simular deal with Hattiesburg American also. If you have a contact for your local paper and would like for me to request they publish scores or short stories please send it to me.

New Structure for MYFAI

October 3, 2013

Presidents,
Since the early 1990’s Mississippi Youth Football has operated under the same basic structure. This system has served us well over the many years it has been in place.
I have served as President, Chairman and Commissioner, and this was no problem for many years, however in that time we have grown by 293%.
The operation of league has grown to a year round job. The sheer number of task that have to be looked at, completed, investigated, and then reworked while still trying to make substantial improvements have grown by 293% also.
In trying to do all three very separate jobs I feel that none of them are getting the attention they, our league and our kids deserve. For this reason I have been looking at restructuring our Association for several weeks, beginning Friday, October 4, 2013 we will begin operating under the following structure.

1.  I will remain President and Chairman of the board of directors.

2.  Lester Ivy will be promoted to Commissioner, and Vice President reporting directly to me, and will assume the duties of the day to day operation, hear, investigate and rule on protest and other issues. The final ruling will be sent to me and I will dictate to appropriate disciplinary action to be taken.

3.  Johnny Dear is hereby promoted to Sr. vice Commissioner, reporting directly to Lester and shall serve as chief adviser to Lester and will assume the role of Commissioner in the event that Lester not be able to perform his duties for any reason. With his new duties Johnny will appoint a VC to act in his old role as Sr. vice Commissioner for the flag league.

4.  Michael Brown will continue serving as vice Commissioner for the association as well as Sr. vice commissioner for the growing Tinamite league.

5.  Dwayne Ruffin will continue as vice Commissioner for the association.

6.  David Jones (aka: DJ, Big Daddy) of the Hattiesburg league is hereby promoted to vice Commissioner for our Association.

7.  I have ask Lester and Johnny to submit at least two names to be promoted to fill open VC slots within the next two weeks.

8.  Paul Walley, JL Breazeale, Ken Ferrell and Bill Dwyer shall serve as vice Commissioners but will report directly to me and will work on continuing improvement projects for the Association and as advisers to both Lester and I.
Some projects that I will start work on are:
A full 10% of our leagues are now Park and Recreation leagues now, these leagues operate differently and have different needs. I will work with JJ Williamson, Billy Meeks, Ms Shirley, Wild horse and the other P&R leagues to determine how we can better serve their needs and to be sure we are providing them with all the tools necessary for their kids.
We now have three people working on, and in at least one case doing a trail run for our new scheduling software. The objective here is to be able to provide a complete, timely schedule that will fix all the little things that are important to our leagues like, being sure team X travels to team Z if they traveled there last year. Better reduce travel required and eliminate the costly and aggravating process of cross checking 2500 games each year. (Along with saving me a week of vacation!)
in addition to USM and JCCC I will be working on a deal to secure a couple exciting new fields for the playoffs next year.
Finding a new contract for MYFAI day at a college football game where our kids can attend FREE or for a dollar like we once had with USM. This reduction will allow coaches to treat their teams to the game without bankrupting them. It also allows lower income kids, some of the main one we hope we are helping be able to attend.
A large number of leagues have asked me to provide a set of BY-LAWS for their leagues; I am working on creating a generic set that each league can adjust to their individual leagues needs.
Reformatting our updated rules and the list goes on, and on.
IF you know of any improvement projects you would like to see our association undertake email me the details.
I ask you to join me in thanking each of these guys for accepting their new responsibilities and duties.
I also ask you each show them the same respect and loyalty you have shown me for all these years. Together we will continue to grow and provide an association that is second to none for our kids.

Rain Out has caused a Schedule rebuild!!!

September 23, 2013

Lester, Johnny and I are tearing down the schedule to work in the rain out games that can't be made up during the week. This is a huge undertaking.

I want every one to understand that first and foremost we should consider the safety of our players.

But a few standard rules apply:

  1. Games should not be called earlier than two hours before scheduled game time.
  2. Presidents from all teams should touch base the day before the game to be sure they have good contact info, and are working together.
  3. The host team is responsible for calling a game, NOT the visitors. If the Host team says it is safe, then the visitors must show up, from there the referee is responsible to stop the game if conditions are unsafe.
  4. We play in the rain, we have for 38 years, we DO NOT play if there is lightning in the area. (snow, ice or tornados in the area are other conditions that may warrant suspension of scheduled games.
  5. The host team does have the authority to suspend a game if the High School has concerns about the field.

The file name is: 2013 Schedule for Sept 14 thur Oct 5th

Click this document and if you have excel loaded on your  computer it will open after it downloads.  I am working on a copy in pdf format for those that do not have excel.

Good Luck this weekend,

Coach

A word from the Commissioner

President,

1st, I know the schedule is formost on everyones mind, I have one small issue to work out and I will send it out no later than tomorrow night. I know this has been tough on your plans and I appolige for the delay but due to the unexpected circumstances during the week I normally complete it they could not be helped.

Next I would like to address a few week one issues:

  1. Rosters MUST be given to the other team in front of the referee before the start of each game. Please be sure your coaches understand this and have good, clean rosters to exchange. Also, remind them to be sure their assistant coaches have spares in case they forget or lose their copy. The referees are now required to report if a team does not have their roster to exchange. There will be a $50.00 fine on the first offence, the second offence will be a $100. fine and forfieture of the game.
  2. Footballs MUST be bladder type balls, no "nerf" or solid type balls are allowed. They must be bladder type balls and be with in 1 1/2" in length and size of a Wilson K2 ball. The must be fully inflated to the manufactures recommended pressure.
  3. There were lots of missing paper work at the book certification Sunday, this must be in my hands or your VC's before Saturday. If you still have a birth certificate you haven't recieved before Saturday you can keep the player on your roster BUT you should not play him until you have it and have turned it in. This is for the safety of all our kids and I expect everyone to follow these guidelines to the letter.
  4. Scores, Presidents, please meet with your coaches, there is no excuse for a YOUTH team running up the score by 50 points against another team. Ask these coaches to think about how they would feel if THEIR child was on the other team, or their childs Grandmother had come to see them play. That should be all that needs to be said on this subject.
  5. Certifications: many people are having issues completing the course for one reason or another, please remind them we need to get this done, Lester is our resident expert and will help you if you get stuck.

USA Football Training

Presidents;

As you know this year we are certifying USA football for coaches. The cost is 5$ per coach and all coaches , (head and assistants are required to certify. Time is getting short as season is beginning in a couple weeks.
Above is the link to a webinar that explains the process and makes certification easier by taking you to the certification link. The person that each of you picks to become the league player safety coach must first register and certify as a coach, then on the website you will find the link to become a PSC. All leagues MUSt have a PSC to participate in USA football, only one per league is required.

Please find in the "Hand Out" section the list of coach promo codes for each league. you must put in in the promo code box exactly as it is written to recieve the 20$ discount and make the coach certification 5$. If you have any Questions please contact me.  The title of the document is:    Coach Membership Promo code registration Renewal

Thank You for caring about our youth.

Ms. Youth Football Summer update!

May 9, 2013

Presidents,

This has been a very busy and productive off-season for Mississippi Youth football; we have formed an alliance with USA football which is sponsored by the NFL as a nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of youth football. (you should have already received several emails from USA Football)

This summer we will hold a clinic for each of the Presidents, or their representatives, which will be conducted by NFL certified trainers who will train them on detecting and proper treatment for concussions and other common youth football injuries. They will also learn about proper equipment fitting as well as other important task we do each year. This will be given at absolutely NO COST to your league.  MYFAI will cover any cost not covered by USA football. The officers from each league who receive the training will in turn return to their league and train the other coaches.

We are also in the process of converting MYFA, INC from a registered Mississippi nonprofit corporation to a 501C nonprofit corporation. This change is necessary for you to qualify for equipment grants given yearly by the NFL through USA football. Each year they give several Million dollars to youth league just like yours. By MYFA becoming a 501C corp., your league will qualify under our umbrella.

It will also open all of us to other yearly grants given out that we have not taken advantage of as well as we should have.

Although we missed the 5-4-2013 deadline for applying for USA Football grants this year we will have everything ready to go next year and be prepared to assist you in applying for your grant.

Even with us not making the deadline, Mike of USA football assured me that he has a couple grants that are given to him to present to any one he wishes and he has committed to awarding them to our member leagues in 2013.

The next major change will be in our coach’s certification process. As part of our membership with USA football all our coaches will certify online through their certification course. The course has a total cost of $5.00 per coach as opposed to the $20.00 we pay now. Because this is so inexpensive and easy to complete we will require every coach, not just the head coaches to complete this certification. USA football will set up a data base for Lester to monitor and verify that our coaches have completed this certification. They will also set up the same for each of our Presidents to be able to verify that their coaches have completed the certification. No one will be allowed to coach without this certification.

One of the differences in this certification as opposed the NYSCA certification we have done in the past is that each coach had a one Million dollar liability insurance policy when they completed the course, our new course does not have the liability policy as part of the course, however if our coaches want they can purchase the same policy for an additional $10.00.

Although MYFAI will not make this mandatory, I would strongly recommend that EVERY coach, president or sponsor have it. I personally would never consider working with the kids without it, and for ten bucks why would you not have it?

I am recommending at Sumrall’s next board meeting we vote to purchase the liability insurance for each of our coaches and sponsors.

The new certification has another benefit; there are separate courses for Flag, Tackle and even cheer! This means our coaches will get more specialized type training for the sport they are coaching.

As part of the conversion to the new 501C corporation I need each of you to send me your league address for the records. Please send this ASAP so that we can move forward with the paperwork required.

In other news, we have had several inquiries from new leagues in the past few months, Vicksburg, Jackson and Columbus to name some off the top of my head. We have people working with these people to determine if they are qualified and if it is feasible to consider them for our Association. If you know of other leagues who has interest AND that you believe would be a good fit for us please get their information to me ASAP so that we can have someone start working with them.

This season we will return to the “District Deputy” system we used several years back. The District Deputy will assist the Vice Commissioner in their area with any project, investigation or other duties assigned by the Vice Commissioner. One of their main and most important task will be to get scores each week from each of the teams in their district and report them to JL no later than Wednesday following the games on Saturday. Getting the scores from each game each week and getting them posted in a timely fashion is one of the areas we choose as a hot item to address this year and I hope this addition will solve this issue.

If you would like to take on this office and task please email me ASAP. Everyone who contacts me will be considered for your division, if several people apply from the same division I will submit the entire group to the Vice Commissioner for that division and he will choose.

Another new improvement for next year I hope everyone will get excited about is our plan to attempt a weekly newsletter that will be posted online as well as emailed to our members, We hope to do write ups on our coaches and officers as well as several players each week. We will also publish short write ups about your league, last week’s game or the businesses the support your league.

For this to happen each of you will need to submit or have someone in your league submit stories and other interesting articles for us to publish. This can be a great way for you to recognize the people, players and businesses that allow your league to be successful. But this cannot work without your help!

I will update everyone on the Association throughout the summer, hope you all have a great off season and return rested and ready to go in a few months!

Tom Polk, Commissioner
