the East Islip Wildcats. The Wildcats are in LIJSL's Suffolk division 1 for U11
girls. Their record, with one game to go, is 8 wins, 1 tie and 0 losses and they
are guaranteed at least a tie for first place in their division. The Fury 98
really stepped up to this strong older team.
The Fury started the game with two early goals. East Islip fought back to tie
the game and regulation time ended 2-2. The Fury, playing with only one
substitute, scored halfway into the first half of overtime and took a lead that
they would not let slip away! Another goal midway in the second overtime period
sealed the 4-2 victory and the girls' advance to the quarter finals next May.
