    National League Most Valuable Player
    June 30, 2006  --   The National League Most Valuable Player has been announced.
    Karlis Liepa led the Red Lion Ringers this season batting a CCWA leading .388 with four homeruns and 23 RBIs in just ten games played. He also had a vicious fastball and great control on the mound.
    Can also perform an armbar submission hold. Congratulations Karlis.
    Max Fisher of the Red Lion Ringers finished second in the balloting.
    Ed Bert of the Colt .45's finished third in the balloting.

    June 29, 2006  --   The American League Most Valuable Player has been announced.
    TJ McNeely led the Suckerpunch Pirates this season batting a league leading .382 with five homeruns and 20 RBIs in just eight games played.
    He was also dominant in the field and on the mound. Congratulations TJ.
    Erik Guttormsen of the Bruce Lee Wannabes finished second in the balloting.
    Nate Bullock of the Suckerpunch Pirates finished third in the balloting.

    June 28, 2006  --   The National League Cy Young Award is awarded to Max Fisher of the Red Lion Ringers.
    Max had a record of three wins with one save and had a ERA of 1.64. He had 44 strikeouts while only walking 15 in 40.1 innings pitched.
    His pitching led his team into the playoffs.
    Matt Jones of Jackmove was runner-up.
    Gerald Allen of Jackmove and Justin Johnson of the Wiffleball Furies finished tied for third in the balloting.

    June 27, 2006  --   The American League Cy Young Award is awarded to TJ McNeely of the Suckerpunch Pirates.
    TJ led the CCWA with five wins and had a ERA of 1.19. He had 32 strikeouts while only walking 14 in 30.1 innings pitched.
    His pitching led his team into the playoffs.
    Brian Eyer of the Lexington Brewers was runner-up.
    Nate Bullock of the Suckerpunch Pirates finished third in the balloting.

    CCWA Most Improved Player
    June 26, 2006  --   The CCWA Most Improved Player of the Year goes to Eddie Bert.
    This past season the captain of the Colt .45's improved all aspects of his game.
    His pitching started showing improvement halfway through the season. Over the last couple of weeks, his bat became one of the most feared in the National League.
    Look for Ed to come back next year and keep up his great play. Congratulations Ed.
    Runner-up was Justin Johnson of the Wiffleball Furies.
    Third place was Andy Toll of the Suckerpunch Pirates.
