WOW! What a start to the season. We have almost 500 young men and women signed up to play baseball here in Pascagoula. When we get a turnout like this it really lets the Board of Directors for the Pascagoula Youth Baseball League know that we are doing what it takes to have a top quality league. We are very excited about this season, with so many teams and participants we are looking for great things to happen. I want to thank YOU, all the parents for allowing your child to participate in our league.
Registration for this season is almost over. Our T-Ball teams are full and we have a limited amount of spots left in our older age groups. If you have a son or daughter between the ages of 7 and 12 we do have a few spots open.
The Kirkpatrick Tournament will begin on Thursday March 10th and will be for the Major League, Minor League, and Rookie League. The T-Ball Tournament will be at the end of the season which will allow our managers and coaches to be able to teach these youngsters how to play the game. The Kirkpatrick Tournament is a league fundraiser so there will be a $2.00 entry fee during the tournament and all gates with the exception of the main gate will be locked during this tournament. At the conclusion of the tournament all gates will be unlocked.
Uniforms have been ordered and we are in hopes to have the uniforms by March 10th for all age groups except T-Ball. The T-Ball uniforms will be ready by March 19th which is opening day.
Opening ceremonies will be Saturday March 19th at 10:00am on Gibson Field and we will be playing baseball all day. Make plans to me at Opening Ceremonies and remember the concession stand will be open.
We are in the process of finalizing the season schedules and as soon as they are complete we will post them on line. The Kirkpatrick Tournament brackets are online now.
We look forward to hearing from you, let us know what’s on your mind by posting on our guestbook or the forum. Good or bad we want to know about it so keep us posted.
Looking forward to seeing you at the fields,
Eric Hartman
President Pascagoula Youth Baseball
