On a day when both pitchers (Howes, Z. Harris) were dominating. It took until the bottom of the 5th before Modernistic broke it open scoring 3 runs to take a 4-2 lead. However Smith Grinding came right back in the top of the last inning, with a runner on 3rd and 2 outs Davis (Smith) had two strike before hitting a solid single up the middle, followed by a stolen base and a Collier (Smith) single to tie it up at 4. Whitney settled down and struck out the next batter stopping the heart of Smith's line-up from batting.

Leversee stepped up and beat out single and then promptly stole 2nd. Mobley hit one up the middle and was thrown out, but not before advancing Leversee to 3rd.
