    Nick Adenhart-Williamsport (2003-2004)
Adenhart was one of the most sought-after players in MVAL history. A projected top pick in the MLB draft, Adenhart's stock took a huge blow after an elbow injury forced him to have "Tommy John" surgery following his senior season. The Los Angeles Angels of Anahiem drafted Nick despite his injury. He recovered from the injury and made it all the way to the majors for part of the 2008 season. Adenhart made the Angels opening day roster in 2009. Nick was tragically killed on April 9, 2009 by a drunk driver in California after pitching his best game as a pro---six scoreless innings against the Oakland A's. Adenhart is still the only MVAL pitcher to ever record a perfect game.
