Schedule for 2009
Practices

Please select a practice night that works with your carpool needs. Putting players together may not always be honored or communicated. We will do our best effort to line up practice nights based on your selection

Practices for ages 5 through 14 are all held at the church soccer field, down the hill from the sanctuary.

The practices last 1 hour. The practices will be one night per week at either 5:30, 6:00 or 6:30 OR 7:00 pm.
 
Ages 11 to 15 years old,  Practices will begin  the last week of August. 
Ages 5 TO 10 year olds, Practice will begin the first week of September
Ages 3 and 4-year olds ONLY HAVE ONE Practice at the meeting/clinic on Saturday September 12 8:00 am

You may select to have your child play one age group up if you believe they have the abilty, With approval of league Driector Mike Reis (This is for strong players only)
  • Ages 3 and 4       8:00 am 24 minutes long six 4 min periods
  • Ages 5 and 6       9:00 am 32 minutes four 8 min periods
  • Ages 7 and 8     10:00 am, 11:00 pm  48 minutes long four 12 min quarters
  • Ages 9 and 10   11:00 am and 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm 48 minutes long four 12 minute quarters
  • Ages 11 to 12     2:30 pm and 4:30pm   50 minutes long two 25 minute halves 
  • Ages 13 to 15    9:45 or 3:30 pm Saturday  and Friday nigth at 6:00 60 minutes long two 30 minute halves 

 

Practices for ages 5 through 14

Parctices are  all held at the church soccer field, down the hill from the sanctuary.(we are looking for alterante practice field) The practices last 1 hour ages under 10 ages 11 to 15 will be 1.5 hours. The practices will be one night per week between 5:00 and 8:00 pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday, or Friday . You have to select a practice night which night does not work for you on the form and your child will be assigned to a team on one of the nights you can practice. If you can not make your scheduled night your child may attend another night that their Age is practicing. 3 and 4-year olds will have one practice at the beginning of the season.


Locations

Games and practices will be at Stockbridge First United Methodist church.(Alteranate field for Ages 11 and up may be substitued) 4863 North Henry Boulevard, Stockbridge. or back up practice field near by.

Year end celebration
Is on the last day.

Pictures
Will be taken on a scheduled date to be determined

Uniforms
Each player will receive uniforms that consists of socks, shorts and a shirt.

Trophies
Each child gets a trophy at the end of the season.

Soccer ball
Bring to all practices and games
Ages   3 to  6     size 3
Ages  7  to 10    size 4
Ages 11 to 15 
   size 5

Shin guards
All 5 years old and older must wear shin pads, 3 and 4 years should try to wear them.

Shoes:
Tennis or soccer shoes can be worn for children below 7.

Water
Bring water for your children to stay hydrated.

Restrooms
The restrooms are located in the Fellowship hall of the church.

Field size
The emphasis of this league is to teach kids the skills need to play soccer. The games are played on small fields that get larger with the older ages.

Scores
The number one rule of the league is to HAVE FUN. Soccer is a competitive sport. The policy of the league is to keep score to promote healthy competition (ages 5 and older). However we do not tolerate negative behavior that may result in parents or children being overly competitive.

Weather
I
f the weather is bad we may cancel the practice or game. Please call the Rain Out Number 678-528-7701. if you have question or want to confirm if we having the game or practice.
(EVERY EFFORT WILL BE MADE TO MAKE UP GAMES, HOWEVER WE MAY NOT MAKE UP GAMES IF WE HAVE ONLY ONE RAIN OUT GAME)

Volunteer

This program is a 100% volunteer program. We need helpers with the concession stand,  field set up and take down, clean up and communication etc. Field cleanup, Practice and  concession stand helpers. This year we are asking you to volunteer to help clean up, set up the field, and work the concession stand at least one week during the season. We have assigned a colors for each week. If your team is that color we are asking you to help with at least one item that week. There will be sign up forms at the concession stand.

The duties for the week will include
  • Practice night cleanup

  • Saturday morning Setup

  • Saturday afternoon take-down

  • Concession Stand help, Picking up Biscuits, preparation, take down, etc

3. Negative behaviors will NOT be Tolerated.

4. Bring your children on time.

5. Make sure each child has a ball for practice and the games.

6. Please notify your coach if your child is not able to make a game or practice.

7. Do not question coaches or the referee in front of the children or players

8. Participate in the Spirit Day.

Coaches Rules

1. Have Fun

2. Contact your players by March 7

3. Respect the referees decisions

4. Show up on time

5. Find a sub if you can’t make it.

6. If you have a dispute deal directly with the coach or parent, if you can ‘t resolve I pray about, then wait 24 hours to talk to mike about it.

7. Volunteer to Referee

8. Play all players equal time regardless of the players ability.
