The association, in conjunction with South Hanover Township, is currently developing a new football game field and practice facility, surrounded by a walking track. The association is in need of funding for several items such as bleachers, storage and permanent concession facilities, home team scoreboard, goal posts and practice equipment.

The impact of additional financial support to this organization is tremendous. It will allow SHYFA to extend the opportunity to participate to more children in the surrounding areas of the Lower Dauphin School District.

We would like to have a few “heavy hitter” fundraising events this year, such as a team cookbook, discount cards to local businesses, a pancake breakfast and basket bingo. In addition, we will continue with the ever popular Spirit Wear and the ongoing Magazine Sale and Renewal program available on this website, via the Magazine Store link. We are hoping to gear our organization's fundraising efforts toward the programs/sales that appeal to the general public, decreasing the financial burden on athletes’ parents. We also spend a lot of time pursuing corporate grants that will fund not only our new football facility but our teams also.

Another important function of the booster club is getting community and parent involvement in the football and cheerleading programs. Many companies and individuals donate their time and services to the team. We are working to cultivate those relationships for continuing support.
