Board 2010 Elections
"Voting Member"
A voting member must be at least eighteen (18) years of age, attend at least three (3) Board sanctioned meetings within a calendar year, and have all fees/dues for the current year paid in full (if applicable).
Openings
The offices of Vice President, Treasurer, Director of Public Relations, Cheer Director, and Fundraising shall be elected in odd number years. In additon Concessions ,Secretary.
Officer Requirements
The President, Vice President and Treasurer must be voting members and served a minimum of one (1) consecutive year prior as a member of the Board or two (2) years as Coach or Team Mom within the
SBFA.The remaining Officers and Directors must be voting members.

Job Descriptions
Vice President
• Shall attend, or delegate a representative to attend, all outside league meetings and act as representative of the Association.
• Shall serve as acting President, Treasurer or Secretary in their absence.
• Must submit a budget as required in Article VII, Section 4D, 4E and 4F.
• Shall be a member of the Grievance Committee.
• Has the authority to call special meetings.
• Shall set up pre-season and post-season bowl games.
• Shall be a member of the Hardship Committee.
• One of the signatories for disbursement of funds.
• Shall serve as supervisor to all coaches as well as create, maintain and enforce all coaching guidelines for the current year.
• Shall be responsible for scheduling all ACEP or NYSCA clinics.
• Shall serve as Chairman of the Bylaw and Rules Committee, maintain a current and official version of the Bylaws and Rules as voted by the Association.
• Shall serve as a member of the Coaches Selection Committee.
• Shall serve as interface to all head coaches.
• Shall secure insurance required by the Association.
• Shall perform such other duties as may be necessary to the position, and as delegated by the President or the Board.
Secretary
• Record and keep the minutes of all regular and special Board and Association meetings.
• Must submit a budget as required in Article VII, Section 4D, 4E and 4F.
• Has the authority to call special meetings.
• Shall be a member of the Grievance Committee.
• Shall phone all Board Members prior to the meetings to remind them of such.
• Shall maintain a hard copy of all financial records.
• Conduct such correspondence as may be required.
• Maintain a list of Board members, voting members and committees.
• Take attendance at all meetings.
• Read the minutes of prior meetings.
• Serve as Corporate registered agent and submits all correspondence required by the State.
• Shall serve as a member of the Coaches Selection Committee.
• Will work with insurance companies, coaches and parents to promptly process any and all claims, maintain complete insurance documentation for Association files.
• Shall keep in their possession a copy of the parent consent forms for all players and/or cheerleaders.
• Shall coordinate clothing order.
• Shall perform such other duties as may be necessary to the office.
Treasurer
• Receive all monies and securities, and deposit all in depositories approved by the Board.
• One of the signatories for disbursement of funds.
• Maintain accurate and complete financial records of the Association.
• Must submit budget as required in Article VII, Sections 4D, 4E and 4F.
• Shall report on the financial status at each Board and Association meeting and offer a hard copy of it to those in attendance.
• Shall be a member of the Grievance Committee.
• Shall serve as a member of the Coaches Selection Committee.
• Shall monitor and maintain the Post Office Box belonging to the Association.
• Shall perform such other duties as may be necessary to the office
Cheerleading
Cheer Director
• Shall attend, or delegate a representative to attend, all league cheer meetings and act as a representative of the Association.
• Will maintain current cheerleading rosters with updates supplied by the head cheerleading coaches, and supply a copy to the Secretary for insurance records.
• Must submit a budget as required in Article VII, Section 4D, 4E and 4F.
• Shall be a member of the Homecoming Committee.
• Shall purchase uniforms when necessary, by securing approval of the Board during the budget process, and obtaining a purchase order prior to placing the order for the uniforms.
• Assure that all equipment is being maintained properly in accordance with League requirements.
• Responsible for coordinating cheerleader activities and outside League competition.
• Shall serve as supervisor to all cheerleading coaches and team moms.
• Shall serve as a member of the Coaches Selection Committee.
• Shall perform such other duties as may be necessary to the office.
Public Relations
• Shall be responsible for the review and distribution of all League printing.
• Create and/or edit the individual team reports from weekly games and coordinate the setup of the weekly newspaper September through October.
• Must submit a budget as required in Article VII, Section 4D, 4E and 4F.
• Maintain, with the assistance of the Secretary, Player Agent, and Cheer Director a current list of Association membership.
• Develop a monthly newsletter for the months of November through August and mail to all Association members or as directed by the Board.
• Establish and maintain contacts with the new media.
• Shall serve as a member of the Coaches Selection Committee.
• Shall perform such other duties as may be necessary to the position.
Fundraising
• Responsible for determining fundraisers required to satisfying the needs of the Association in conjunction with the budget.
• Must submit a budget as required in Article VII, Section 4D, 4E and 4F.
• Shall recruit and retain sponsors.
• Shall coordinate banquet activities.
• Solicit and secure the necessary volunteers for the Association.
• Shall serve as a member of the Coaches Selection Committee.
• Shall perform such other duties as may be necessary to the position
Concessions
• Responsible for coordinating all concession stand activities.
• Responsible for ordering supplies, maintaining stand and any equipment for its operation.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate records of expenditures and receipts of concessions for the Treasurer’s report.
• Responsible for writing and coordinating with Association the work schedules for the concession stand.
• Must submit a budget as required in Article VII, Sections 4D, 4E and 4F.
• Shall turn over all monies to the Treasurer at the end of each day’s operation.
• Responsible for all non-playing equipment owned and/or operated by the Association.
• Shall serve as a member of the Coaches Selection Committee.
• Shall perform such other duties as may be necessary to the position.
Assistants
Each Director may appoint a minimum of one (1) assistant to carry out the functions of the office and provide training for additional members in the future.
