Skills camps, clinics, and instruction information

TMYBA players - below on this page are various camps, clinics, and instructional options for those looking to work on their game. Also, there are a various providers of individual and small group instruction that may be of interest.

Bigler Baseball Camps: Bigler Baseball conducts varous camps and clinics throughout the Milwaukee area. Additionally, Bigler Baseball conducts "academies" or small group instruction (1-6 players) in the Mequon area as well as individual instruction. Warren Smith: Coach Smith is Varsity Assistant Coach at Oak Creek HS (previously, JV Baseball Coach at MUHS). He has arranged to provide individual or small group (2-4 students) instruction out of The Hitter's Baseball Academy facility (4726 Six Mile Road, Racine - at the northwest corner of Hwy 31 and Six Mile Road). Bigler Baseball Camps and Instruction

Beginning early December, Bigler Baseball Camps offer their 12-week Baseball School in Grafton (Dec 2 - Feb 17) for 12-14 year olds.  The Grafton Camp will be held at the Leeson Facility.

Additionally, Bigler Baseball Camps will offer hitting and pitching camps (ages 7-12) to be held at Grafton High School (Feb 17 - March 10).

Coach Ken Bigler, Jr. and his family (father, brothers) have been very involved with baseball in southeast Wisconsin for years, both playing and coaching at the youth, high school, and collegiate level. Coach Bigler has also taught specific coaches and pitching clinics for TMYBA. Coach Bigler and the staff at Bigler Baseball provide small group or individual instruction on any aspect of the game in addition to their local camps.

B.A.T.S. SPORTS ACADEMY (Building Athletes Toward Success)

B.A.T.S.Holiday Clinics for Baseball (ages 9-12) and Fast Pitch Softball (ages 10 - 14 + beginning pitchers), December 27 - 28.

Kyle Knoblauch is the General Manager and Lead Baseball Instructor at B.A.T.S. Sports Academy, LLC. Kyle is a former Michigan High School All-American and All-MAC collegiate pitcher at Bowling Green State University. He has been instructing numerous student-athletes throughout the North Shore on all facets of the game with a special concentration on pitching methods over the last four years. While he will be offering extensive individual and group training opportunities he will also be available to assist teams during practices in whatever capacities they desire. Also, B.A.T.S. provides fastpitch softball instruction by Liz Knoblauch. Liz played college softball at Bowling Green State University, where she was a 4-year starting pitcher. Liz is offering private and group instruction for aspiring softball pitchers of all ages. For over 8 years, she has worked with numerous age groups in the Pittsburgh and Toledo areas. Liz’s areas of focus include proper mechanics, maximum velocity, rise-ball, and accuracy, as well as building confidence on and off the field.

Girls Softball: Bigler Fastpitch
Bigler Baseball has branched out and is now offering camps, clinics and individual instruction in fastpitch softball. Please refer to their website (www.biglerfastpitchsoftball.com) for information.
Glendale LL Baseball Clinics featuring Nicolet's HS staff

For the last several years, Glendale Little League has presented Baseball Clinics run by either Warren Smith (former MUHS JV coach, now at Oak Creek HS) or the Nicolet HS coach staff and players.  For 2013, the Clinics will be run by the Nicolet HS staff and players.  Online Registration for All Clinics generally begin in November on a first-come, first-serve basis with the clinics running from January to April (go to www.eteamz.com/glendalelittleleague/).

A total of 31 sessions are offered for girls and boys from the age of 6 through 14 (age is determined as of 4/30/13). Most clinic consists of 4 sessions of 75 minutes each (total of 5 hours) and is limited to 20 players. All of the clinics are open to the general public. NON-RESIDENTS may particpate;  the non-resident fee is generally $10 more than for Glendale LL participants.

A
 sthese clinics are by far the most affordable clinics offered by anyone, Glendale LL expects that they will fill quickly. Registration will continue until all clinics have 20 participants.

The clinics will be held at Nicolet High School (Gym #2) and/or Glen Hills Middle School.

The clinics are arranged by Little League Baseball Divisions as follows:

* Rookies - age 6 to 8 as of 4/30
* Minors - age 9 and 10 as of 4/30
* Majors - age 11 and 12 as of 4/30
* Juniors - age 13 and 14 as of 4/30

Hitter's Baseball Academy (Racine) programs

Hitter's Baseball Academy provides various programs for the serious-minded baseball player.  Specific camps (occuring at different times over the course of a year) or individual lessons are available.  Please refer to their website for information (google Hitters Baseball Academy - Racine; be sure to click on "Training Academy Home Page").

US Baseball Academy Camp (f/k/a Midwest)

US Baseball Academy (f/k/a Midwest Baseball Academy) generally hosts its annual six session skills camp during Jan-Feb of each year. Sessions are typically on Sundays. The nearest location for TMYBA families is Concordia University. Sessions focus on either hitting, pitching, or catching and are age group-based.

All Star Baseball Academy (RBI, LLC)

RBI All Star Academy is located in West Bend, WI and offers various programs over the course of the year.   They are offering a 10 week Complete Player Camp that runs from late January to late March (two groups under age 11 and one group ages 12 - 14).  Emphasis on hitting, fielding, and throwing.

Wisconsin State Baseball Camps and Clinics

Wisconsin State Baseball Camps and Clinics offers various coaching and player camps during the year.  They are currently offering Winter Baseball Camps on December 26, 27, and 28 for players age 9-14 (primarily hitting and pitching).  Camps will take place at NX Level out in Pewaukee.  Please refer to their website www.wsbcc.com or email Todd Peterson at tgpeterson4@aol.com for more information.

M-T Rec Department offering Gold Medal Speed Camp
Please refer to the Mequon-Thiensville Rec Department offerings to find the Gold Medal Speed Camps directed by Todd Brawner, Homestead High School Track Spring Coach. Registration may be done on-line via the Mequon-Thiensville Rec Department website (http://mtsd.k12.wi.us/District/rec-dept/default.html) and referencing the course numbers.

Under the direction of Todd Brawner, Homestead High School Track Spring Coach, Gold Medal Speed Camps utilize cutting edge training and teaching techniques designed to give you the edge on your competition. Camp participants will make significant improvements in speed, agility, quickness and conditioning.
