Despite the pressure that might have accrued due to the "great expectations" generated during the 2007 season, 2008 found the Storm back in the saddle as the team to beat in the Empire Football League.

An undefeated pre-season was once again followed by a spotless regular season. The Storm entered into the playoffs with a record of 12-0, and won the home game against the Amsterdam Zephers.

In the league final, in a raging rainstorm, with muddle footballs and an inability to pass the ball at all, the Storm lost a close one to the Chateaugeau Titans, 15-13.

Despite this set-back and because of the Ice Storm's power rating nationally the powers that be once again invited the Ice Storm down to Florida to play in the USA Bowl National Championship Game. This time at the "AAA" D I level against the District of Columbia Explosion. The best Ice Storm team ever assembled decended to Miami FL in Jan of 2009.

With the Ice Storm's disciplined offense combined with a tough defense (one of D.C.'s touch downs was a pick-6 scored against the offense) produced the USA Bowl D 1 AAA National Championship title, 17-12 and the Ice Storm finished up the 2008 campaign 15-1.
