2009 Coach Application Package and Process
Welcome to 2009!! The WPYF coaching package has been uploaded to our website, for your convenience. You can download the necessary documents at your convenience. You will need the following (all forms are in the handout section of the website):
- 2009 WPYF Coaching Mission Statement
- 2009 WPYF Coach Code of Conduct
- 2009 WPYF Coaching Application
You must turn in a complete package to be considered for a coaching position at WPYF. Your application packages should be delivered to either the Coaching Commissioner or the Executive Secretary, for review. Please understand that completing an application does not guarantee a coaching position within this organization. We do, however, appreciate all volunteers willing to step up and help children learn football and cheer. If you are not called to join a coaching staff, please consider one of the many other volunteer positions that help this organization run successfully.
Once your application has been accepted as a WPY coach, you will need to complete the DVYFC process. You will receive the information from your head coach, or the Coach Commissioner. The DVYFC Certification process has been changed to an online process. New coaches will still need to attend one of the NYSCA clinics prior to the beginning of the season on August 1st. Returning coaches may forego attendin the clinic walkthrough, by coordinating with the President and/or Coaching Commissioner. Understand that 1) you must be approved by WPYF to receive become a certified coach for WPYF, and 2) if the President is unable to attend the certification, you will need to personally attend to receive your certification and badge.
