Bonnell's Night Flights opens the 2008 season against Miller High Life at 7:45 at Asbury Field.
The first 10 fans ten and under will receive a free Bonnell Legend Bobblehead. This will be the first of five Bobbleheads giveaways throughout the season.
Series one will be of Bonnell Legend Tommy Braendel. As shown above.
Series two will be Manuel Matos, series three will be Chris Fanzini, series four Al Baldi and the fifth giveaway will be a mystery current Bonnell player.
This season Bonnell's softball will also have many more giveaways throughout the season for children under 10. Including hat day, Jersey night, t-shirt day, bat day and autograph day.
For the adults we will have schedule night, car decal night, hoody night, Commemorative T-Shirt night (Bonnell 1,000th victory) and state title t-shirts (record 10 time state champions).
Special giveaways will include team video and team calendars.


*Bonnell's Softball is celebrating it's record 10th state title and becoming the first team in Erie to earn 1,000 career victories.

Veteran pitcher Greg Heydet, Sr. joins Bonnell's for the 2008 season.
Greg has been playing competive modified softball at the major and "A" level for 15 years and has a great resume to show for his time.
Here are just a few things Greg has accomplished in his career:

Greg has won the ASA 9 Man National tournament in 2002 while playing with national power L&P (Staten Island,Ny).
Also in that same year Greg and his L&P teammates won the UMSA National Championship beating Bonnell's (we still won't forgive him for that).
He won the USSSA World tournament two times in his career first in 1998 with Silver-Lido Cafe and then once again beating Bonnell's in the 2001 World title game while with Globe (NJ).
Greg has also been selected to the first team ASA All-American team in 2001 while playing with Globe (NJ). That season Globe was the ASA 9 Man National Runner-Up.
Greg has been named MVP of the Delco Times modified tournament (Philadelphia,PA) on three different occasions (2003, 2005 & 2007)

Greg currently resides in Jamison,Pa with his wife Cindy.


I must add that Greg didn't want to put any of his past accomplishments on the site because he wants to look toward the future with Bonnell's.
He also added he could not have won those things without his great teams and teamates.

I simple told him it's about time he will be wearing the silver and black! It will be a pleasure scoring him runs instead of trying to score against him. We're glad your with us!

Noah Sean Patrick Spinelli was born on 12-17-07 and weighed 7 pounds 2 ounces.

Mom is doing great! Hope to see him on the diamond soon.

Addison Grace Baldi was born on 10-23-07.
She weighed 7 pounds 9 ounces and was 21 inches long.
Alexander is extremely proud to be a big brother.
