KAIDEN's UPDATE
After a long day down at All Childrens hospital today (Wednesday, March 6) I am happy to share with everyone that Kaiden is now 16 MONTHS CANCER FREE!! We found out in December that Kaiden's oncologist in Philly has been watching an area on the scans that still... "lights up" but... he said it has been shrinking with each scan and that is a good sign. It could be scar tissue or even damage from radiation but shrinking is great news! His counts are back to normal too! It does not get easier with each follow up scan. We will always be afraid of facing that terrible monster again but tonight we will sleep easier.
Today one of the nurses in radiology told me they call Kaiden one of their Miracle kids and sometimes share his journey and good outcome with other struggling families. We thank God for that miracle and thank you all for the power of prayer.
So, how do you think we celebrated the good news... a donut cake of course!

SEASON DEDICATION

The PHUHS Hurricanes Baseball Team is dedicating the 2011 Baseball season in Honor of Kaiden Crowther. Kaiden, the 5 year old son of Pitching Coach John Crowther, was recently admitted to All Children's Hospital and has been diagnosed with an extremely rare form of cancer known as ATRT (Atypical Teratoid / Rhabdoid Tumor). These tumors tend to be very aggressive and they usually spread throughout the central nervous system.

Lord, look upon Kaiden with eyes of mercy, may your healing hand rest upon him, may your lifegiving powers flow into every cell of his body and into the depths of his soul, cleansing, purifying, restoring him to wholeness and strength for service in your Kingdom. Amen.
HOME GAMES FOR K.C.
Coach Felce, the Players, and Boosters have organized a fund raising benefit for Kaiden... Home Games For K.C. - all ticket sales and donations collected at the following four home games will go to help off-set Kaiden's medical expenses... Wed, March 9; Thurs, March 17; Fri, March 18; and Tues, April 19.
