NIAGARA TOURNAMENTBuffalo Wings 5 Agincourt A's 3 Peter Krysztof got the win and went 1 for 2 with 2 RBIs and Adam Spilsbury went 1 for 1.Although the Wings went undefeated the first 3 games in the tournament, they were eliminated in tie breakers to advance.They also played all 15 year old teams and playing up in age.(8/7/04)

The Wings ran out of gas and were humbled with possibly their worse fielding attempt of the season and lost to Clarence 5 - 2 in their 3rd game of the day on a hot and humid afternoon.(8/1/04)

WINGS TOPPLE DAWGS IN SEMIS!Buffalo Wings 4 Rochester Diamond Dawgs 1Tim Klein pitched a complete game win with 9 strike outs.Nick Nolder was 1 for 3 with a RBI,Dave Nelson got a RBI and John Schwarzenholzer was 1 for 1 with a RBI.The Wings then lost in the finals with a heartbreaker in extra innings to the Lancaster Road Dogs 6-5. The Wings stranded 14 base runners and finished the WNY Elite League in second place and runner up in the playoffs.(7/24/04)

LEWISTON PORTER TOURNAMENTBuffalo Wings 10 WNY Cardinals 1Tim Klein pitched a complete game 4 hitter for the win and was 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs.Jonathan Van Remmen was 2 for 2 with 3 RBIs,Adam Spilsbury was 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs and Bob Schrader was 1 for 3 with 2 RBIs.The Wings advanced to the finals and lost 1 - 0 and wasted Peter Krysztof's 2 hit pitching performance.The Wings out hit their counterparts to no avail and left 10 runners on base. Kudos to the North Cheektowaga Stars on their finest game of the season.(7/18/04)
WINGS ADVANCE TO #1 SEED THANKS TO MR CROWLEY!Tails won!As The Wings arrived for their final preliminary game, the game was canceled due to lightning.A flip of coin was introduced to determine the fate of both first place teams.The coin was passed to Mr Crowley for the flip. Mr Crowley raised his arm to capture the energy from the lightning bolt and yelled out, "Come on baby!" He flipped the quarter in a swan dive motion to the ground while calling out in a clear voice,"TAILS!" As the fog cleared, there stood a coin showing "tails." The Wings became the #1 seed.(7/17/04)

Dave Nelson was 1 for 2 with a RBI,Peter Krysztof was 3 for 4 with 3 RBIs,Nick Nolder was 1 for 3 with 2 RBIs and Chris Larson got a RBI.The Wings had a major failure in fielding blunders to let the other team back in the game after completely outplaying them the whole game.(7/17/04)

BEAST OF THE EASTBuffalo Wings 12 Newcomerstown Ohio 9Adam Spilsbury got the win. Jonathan Van Remmen was 2 for 4 with a RBI,Peter Krysztof was 1 for 2 with 2 RBIs,Chris Larson was 1 for 3 with a RBI,Dave Nelson was 3 for 4 with 2 RBIs,Jon Eric Banach was 1 for 4 with a RBI and Nick Nolder had a RBI.The Wings marched on to win 2nd place in their division, only to lose to the Beast Of The East tournament winner the Central Ohio Sharks and this years State of Ohio Champs.Buffalo was shut out and were exhausted in this second game of this doubleheader in a hot,humid afternoon with no breeze nor shade.This was the Sharks first scheduled game of the day.The Wings played what as known as "Pony ball". Its not a regulation size field. The diamonds had no pitching mounds as well, so this was new to the team.The Wings scored nearly 50 runs while playing several mercy ruled games.(7/3/04)
