UMPIRES --- Umpires are expected to conduct themselves on the field with the dignity associated with their position.
q It shall also be the duty of the umpires to conduct the game in accordance with the provisions set forth in this code.
q Any disciplinary action taken by any umpire under this code shall be reported in writing within 24 hours to the Board of Directors.
q Once the umpire shows up at the field for a scheduled game, he is in charge and his decisions are final. No one, including Board members, will over-rule an umpire at the field.
q An umpire will give one warning if there is unacceptable behavior by anyone during a game, but if the behavior is determined to be Flagrant Misconduct by the umpire, the individual(s) identified by the umpire will be asked to leave the playing field, spectator area and field complex.
q Umpires may consult with Board members and/or Managers and coaches regarding interpretation of rules, but the umpire’s decision will be the final decision.
q Any disciplinary actions against umpires will be discussed at Board meetings only.
SPECTATORS --- Spectators are expected to conduct themselves in the stands and within the complex by following these provisions.
q At any time, lay a hand upon, push, shove, strike, or threaten (verbally of bodily) to any member of the CFBLL.
q Be guilty of heaping personal verbal or physical abuse upon any official for any real or imaginary belief of a wrong decision or judgment.
q Be guilty of an objectionable demonstration of dissent at an official’s decision by throwing of any object of a forceful unsportsmanlike action.
q Be guilty of the use of profane, obscene or vulgar language in any manner at any time.
q Appear in the stands, or anywhere on the CFBLL complex while in an intoxicated state at any time. Intoxicated will be defined as an odor or behavior issue.
q No smoking while in the stands. Smoking will only be permitted in areas, which are outside of the complex grounds away from spectator stands or dugouts.
q Speak disrespectfully to any manager, coach, official or representative of the league.
q Shall challenge an umpire’s authority. The umpires shall have the authority and discretion during a game to penalize the offender according to the infraction up to and including removal from the game.
