Connetquot Youth Association's Winter Softball Clinic
The CYA is proud to once again offer its Winter Softball Clinic to any softball player who is registered for the 2010 Spring In House season with CYA. Once a player is registered for Spring 2010, it entitles them to come on down to the winter clinic sessions. These sessions are built and designed to help the girls learn the basic skills, requirements, and rules of Fastpitch Softball. There are several coaches that will be present and the girls will be introduced and instructed in the basic principals of Fielding, Catching, and Hitting. There will be skill and fitness drills throughout the clinic as well as rules and situational instruction for Fastpitch Softball. For now the sessions will run from 6 PM to 9 PM on Tuesday evenings at the Sycamore Avenue Elementary School in Bohemia. As the classes develop and grow, time slots will be appointed by age/skill groups. For any questions or concerns, please contact coachtomk10@verizon.net.

Congratulations to the Connetquot Chiefs 10U Fastpitch Softball Team for once again having a great weekend. For the second tournamanet in a row, the Chiefs made it to the Championship game and played well. The Chiefs took this past weekend to show Nassau County teams what Suffolk has to offer, and demonstarted quality softball skills as well as sportmanship at it's finest. This team is something to make the organization and the Connetquot School district very proud. The girls drew compliments from every team we played, the coaches, the tournament directors, and the Bruce Gary family, which this tournament was named after. Bruce Gary was one of America's heroes that was taken from us on 9/11. The Chiefs look forward to supporting this tournament next year and chasing the title once again. Please continue to congratulate the girls around the complex when you see them. This is a season to remember for them. The Chiefs will finish out their fall season just prior to their fifth and final tournament of the year. The chiefs will be playing in a benefit tournament on Veteran's day. Once again, GO CHIEFS!!!

CHIEFS 10U SOFTBALL TEAM WINS MEMORIAL DAY CHAMPIONSHIP
The Connetquot Chiefs 10U Fastpitch Softball Team started the season off with a bang this weekend going 5-0 and winning the Memorial Day Tournament by going undefeated through the weekend. The team has shown incredible maturity and proved how the winter workouts can really help improve play. These girls have worked hard after a tough beginning as a team last year. However, they stayed true to the principals of the game, and through hard work and determination, they beat the odds. There is no team in any 10U division that has earned the title of Champions more than these girls, so when you see them around the complex, make sure you congratulate them.
