Meeting Minutes
I Meeting was convened by Tom Thompson
II Treasurer’s Report – Not Available
III Attendance: All organizations were represented with the exception of South Fayette, Chartiers Houston, and Avella. According to league by-laws, these organizations will be fined.
IV Prior Meeting Minutes – Not Available
A. It was recommended by Tom Thompson that going forward, minutes should be posted on the league web-site.
V Old Business – None
VI New Business
A. Election of officers – If no individual offers to run for any of the positions, the officers will be cycled as follows:
? President – CIT
? Vice-President – Avella
? Secretary/Treasurer – Robinson
B. Tom advised the organization that entry fees paid by Fort Cherry and Mt. Lebanon will be forfeited to the league because neither organization returned to the CVBA.
C. Scheduling – We were reminded that at the last meeting, it was agreed that scheduling would be done by each manager. Pony scheduling would be done at the first meeting in April. All managers (or other team representative) must be present. The Colt scheduling meeting would be determined at a later date.
D. Estimated number of teams for 2009:

E. Rules Discussion:
a. Findlay recommended that the section regarding league notification of rainouts be clarified so that the notification requirement is included in the section regarding rainouts. The requirement in currently included in another section of the rules.
b. There was a discussion regarding the rules with respect to when a game is suspended and when it is complete in the event of rain, darkness, or other factor that causes a game to stop prior to its normal completion. After much discussion, it was agreed that no one was completely certain and that John McKinney from CIT would reviewthe major league rules regarding suspended games and they would be incorporated into the CVBA rules
F. A motion was made to pay $50 for a two-year renewal of the www.CVBA.info domain name. This motion was approved unanimously.
G. A motion was made for Pat Riley to continue in his role as web master for the league at a cost of $550 per year. This motion was approved unanimously.
H. Discussion was made regarding whether we should re-affiliate with the Pony© Baseball Association. It was noted that Pony© has certain insurance requirements that we may or may not to incur.
