Q. When does the recreational season start?
A.
The Fall season begins at the end of August and runs through the end of October or early November. The Spring season begins at the end of January or early February and runs through mid-May.

Q. What is the cost of registration?
A.
The cost of registration is $140.00 per player (Early registration is $100--early registration dates will be posted on our website). There is a $10 discount for siblings. FEE INCLUDES: uniform (jersey /shorts and socks)insurance, referees, and trophies.

Q. Where are the games played?
A.
Games are played at the Wild Lime Park & Gilbert Porter.

Q. Why do I have to register my child for soccer so early?
A.
Uniform orders take 6 to 8 weeks. Teams must be formed before the order can be placed. Additionally, the paperwork to handle insurance, team roster and scheduling is monumental and takes time.

Q. When will I hear from my coach?
A.
You should hear from your coach when the teams are picked--usually 2-3 weeks before the season starts.

Q. When will the team practice?
A.
Team practices are normally determined by the coach. Usually take place twice a week and run for about 1.5 hours.

Q. When will the games be played?
A.
All Games are played on Saturdays. Some games might be rescheduled and could take place during weeknights, generally after 6:30 pm.

Q. How old does my child have to be to play?
A.
The player must be age 4 to play in the U6 Division by their first practice.

Q. When will we receive our uniform?
A.
The coach will hand out the uniforms before the first game.

Q. How will my child be placed on a team?
A.
Teams are picked during a draft. The only players guaranteed to play together are those of the coach, assistant coach, and sponsor. Please do not ask to be on the same team with a friend or for carpool purposes.

Q. My child is registering for the first time, what equipment do I need to buy?
A. The only items you need to purchase are a water bottle, shinguards, soccer cleats, and a soccer ball (U6 through U8 use size 3 ball; U10 through U12 use size 4 ball and older players use size 5 ball). You can buy the equipment at stores like Soccer Locker, Target, Walmart or Sports Authority.

Q. How can I get involved with Kendall Hammocks Soccer?
A
. Thanks for asking, we can always use help! Most of us became involved through our children, often starting with coaching or being a team parent, and realizing there was more we could do to make the experience a positive one for all children. Some of the areas where we always need help are: Team Parent, Sponsor, Coach, Assistant Coach, Division (Age Group) Representative, Referee (additional training required), and Board Member to learn more click on the "contact info" tab to the left and contact one of our board members.

Q. What do I need to know to coach?

A.
If you bring enthusiasm and a desire to help your child and others enjoy soccer, we'll provide you with coaching clinics and practice drills sheets. Many of us started with a vague knowledge of the game (perhaps from our middle school gym days), and through helping our child have fun, we have deepened our own knowledge and enjoyment of this "beautiful game."
