Coach T's Snack Stand Review

Hi... I am Coach T. I am back for the 2008 season to give you reviews of the snack stands from around the Junior Football league. First let me be clear... I am from Montvale but I AM NOT an active Montvale Mustang football coach. However I have coached Junior Football for years in Bogota and have had the privilege of traveling to all of the Bergen County Junior Football stadiums and eating their food! So let's say I am a coach of food. I maintain the Mustang web site and decided to have some fun and start up a review of snack bars around the league. Hope you enjoy it!
Take a peak at last years reviews below and we will see if these snack bars have improved or dipped from Coach T's standings! Good luck to all this season.

Oh my word... 9:15am and here I am at this little snack stand ordering their "WORLD FAMOUS" taylor ham, egg sandwich. Well it lived up to the name and hit the spot for Coach T!. But then I had an after breakfast snack that had no name... It was a chocolate cookie muffin with a center crater in it that was filled by a soft Hershey's Kiss. At first I looked at it and said... man that must be tought ot eat, thinking the Hershey's Kiss was hard... Well I was sooooo wrong. That little snack was a mouthful of sugar and warm soft chocolate, and cookie. The only thing keeping me from taking an early nap was not having a full glass of milk! It was an unreal snack and one of the best snack shacks I visited this year. Congrats to the folks in Ho-Ho-Kus and Saddle River. Great service nice folks. |

Great fast food like service. I ordered and before I knew it... BAM!!! There it was. Very friendly folks too! The chili was meaty, tasty and served with nacho's and cheese. Careful... It was
H - O - T (not spicy). I spoke to folks who said the bratwurst was excellent. Nice job to the cooks and staff for a 4 out of 5 stars! |

A nice friendly, and helpful service. Bagels were pre-made with Butter and Cream Cheese (nice touch). On hand was the all powerful microwave which served as the popular Popcorn machine (I love the buttery popcorn smell) and a way to melt the butter on my bagel. Nothin like a hot bagel and a good cup of cocoa! |

Hotdogs & Sausage from the Hot Dog Cart |

What a great group of folks... They had an army of people helping customers. Normally hotdogs are just hot dogs but when you get the old fashion cart out and start serving them old school style with kraut and onions you got a special tasting hot dog. |

I was able to go back to my old stomping grounds and saw a lot of old friends. One friend, Charlie Cook, was the main cook and made a nasty(in a good way) tasting breakfast sandwich... mmmm good. Service was great as kids and family were involved as always. The only reason for the 2 1/2 stars was the coffee... Upgrade this and you jump a star or 2! Still one of the best football towns in Bergen County! |
