LEAGUE RULES:
The OIHL Adult League adheres to the Official Rules of USA Hockey Inline. All participants must also abide to the following rules:
-Players will receive an "incident" for receiving, but not limited to, a gross misconduct penalty.
-Suspensions for "incidents" are: 1st is 4 games, 2nd is half a season OR the rest of the season, whichever is greater, 3rd is one calendar year, 4th will result in a lifetime ban with application for reinstatement possible after two years. All incidents are cumulative over the lifetime of the player. Any underage player will be banned one year or until the age of 18, whichever is greater, after two incidents.
-Dropping gloves is two games, whether punches are thrown or not.
-Any player trying to instigate a fight/confrontation outside of the rink, whether it be orally, physically, on the rink, off the rink, during or after the game, will receive an "incident" on their record. The suspension will be based on the established guidelines.
-Fighting outside of the rink will result in a lifetime ban from the league, with application for reinstatement possible after 2 years.
-Anyone serving a suspension will not be allowed inside the outer fencing. This includes any player that has been kicked out of a game in progress. Police action will be taken if necessary.
-Parents and spectators will be held accountable for their actions based on league rules.
-All players must be at least 16 years of age as of the start of the season.
-All teams must have at least 50% adults on the playing bench to qualify for a game.
-As an ADULT league, we will consider any action by a minor, a possible reflection on ALL minors, and may result in the revocation of playing privileges for all minors. This applies to parental behavior as well.
-Suspensions will be determined by the league disciplinary committee based on the above guidelines.
-All suspensions may be appealed in writing to league officials by the team representative. The appeal will be heard by a disciplinary committee established by the league.
