The Pioneers cheerleading squad closed out its season with strong showings in area competitions.

The Warminster Pioneers Competition Cheerleading team recently completed their 2010-2011 season after participating in five events. They competed in four local competitions, including the Plymouth Whitemarsh Cheer Classic, Father Judge Cheerleading Competition, CB East Patriots Cheer Challenge, and the Del Val Gold Cup Cheer Classic.
They also competed at the national Reach the Beach event in Ocean City, Md., which was sponsored by the American Cheer and Dance Academy. The Pioneers placed in each of the events.
The Warminster Pioneers will be celebrating their 50th anniversary this year. They support six football teams and six cheerleading squads in addition to the competition team. Practice begins in August and the season runs through November. The competition cheerleading squad season goes from November through March.
