Start To Finish

In 1995 the Rocky Mountain Wrestling Club was founded on the simple philosophy “Start to Finish”. When Tom Talmich, Cheryl Talmich and Mark Thompson started the club they decided that this credo would be used for every aspect of the club. From how practices were handled to how club business was performed. If something is worth doing, it is worth doing from “Start to Finish”. Whether it is a take down, reversal or non-wrestling activity, it is always done “Start to Finish”

It is all about the kids

Often in youth athletics it is easy to forget that it is really all about the kids. At Rocky Mountain Wrestling Club we focus on instilling a sense of pride, self worth and love of the sport in each and every young wrestler. Sportsmanship is emphasized both on and off the mat. The coaches and parents are also expected to lead by example by always behaving in an honorable and sportsman like manner.

Continued Success

The club originally started with 17 members and has now grown up to over 100 members. During this growth the club has stayed focused on the original motto “Start to Finish”. We continually place over 50% of our wrestlers at every tournament we attend. This success has also helped the local high school ranks as the majority of our wrestlers continue on. It is a gratifying sight to see our ex-club members spar off at the high school level and then embrace in friendship after a match that they both wrestled “Start to Finish…..”
