P. S. C. Training Academy Panhandle Soccer Club, U12/U14 Select Academy

    2 DESCRIPTION
    .

The Tornadoes Extreme Soccer Camps present the “Panhandle Soccer Training Academy” for 11-14 Year olds. Location: Bay High Soccer Training Fields. Date and Time: Starts Monday March 19th. See Training Schedule page for registration information.

The Panhandle Soccer Club Training Academy was established to improve selected players' ball skills and technical and tactical knowledge of the game through a rigorous and structured training system applied under the most scrutinizing conditions.

The goal of this program is to improve the overall playing abilities of 11-14 year old boys and girls in the Bay County, FL. area. Our focus is on the smallest detail. Often times it's the smallest detail that makes the difference in performance. Our mission is to discover the imperfection and correct it.

IMPORTANT! Because this is a Select Academy, players must go through an evaluation process prior to being accepted into the program. A Maximum of 30 players will be allowed to participate in the Evaluation Camp.

Training Note:
The environment created is that of a High School or College training session. Emphasis on mental focus and intensity, high pressure ball control, offensive and defensive positional responsibilities, movement off the ball and transitional play are some of the skills that will be covered. Campers will also learn speed and agility techniques to enhance fitness levels

  • Striking through Creative Offensive Response & Execution (SCORE) Training will be emphasized! Offensive players will not want to miss this training approach which has garnered the coaching team the highest goals-per-game-average of any team in the area; 2010 (2.8), 2011 (3.4), 2012 (4.1).

2 How the Selection Process Works

Keep these factors in mind prior to the evaluation process:

    • Players must be between 11and 14 to be eligible.
    • A maximum of 15 players will be selected for the (A) Team. (or a ratio of 7:1 players to coaches)

  • Focus is on keeping the level of play to the highest possible standard during training.
  • Players not selected on the (A) Team may be afforded training opportunities on a (B) Team if numbers allow
    (no more than 7 players).
  • Again focus of Training with (A) Team is on striving for perfection...
  • Click here to view Academy Schedule and Registration Information.

Players will be evaluated. The process is 2 days for 1.5 to 2 hours each and under the most technically stringent conditions. During the process players will be discretely placed into one of 3 groups (players or parents will not know what group their child is in). (Group A) will be players who almost certainly will be selected for the program... (Group B) players that are on the bubble and may be selected; and finally (Group C) made up of players that at this time do not possess the skills/stamina or focus to participate. Special considerations may be made in cases where numbers permit. (this is strictly a case by case basis).
