Troop 111 Mackinac Island Honor Guard Service Camp Dates

Troop 111 Mackinac Island Honor Guard will be the week of July 18-25, 2009
The Honor Guard consists of 50-56 registered scouts and 10-12 registered adults. This is a service camp, not a summer camp. You must be able to walk long distances, stand for several hours, as well as raise and lower flags, and other strenuous duties.
You will take part in at least one service project for the Mackinac Island State Park Commission, besides your flag and duty requirements. You will have free time each day to shop or visit the Island.
As a representative of the Boy Scouts of America, your council, Troop, and the State of Michigan, you will have the opportunity to meet families and people from all over the United States and the World. You will have Scouts and Scouters approaching you just to say hi and possibly share some of their Scouting experiences. And, believe it or not, you may create some wonderful memories for yourself as well as the visitors you assist during their visit to the Island.
Scoutmaster for the 2009 Troop 111 Mackinac Island Honor Guard will be Ken Marlin.
Applications need to be completed and turned into Mr. Marlin at kjmarlin@cs.com by February 14.
