VESC's Jewellery & Player's Equipment Policies
Here at the Valley East Soccer Club we believe in providing the safest venue to play soccer. To provide this we follow the Ontario Soccer Association's (OSA) & Canadian Soccer Association's (CSA) memo's and updates on Jewellery & Player's Equipment.
NO JEWELLERY is allowed while playing soccer in the VESC's House League!
In following the above we ask that all referees that officiate for the VESC, strictly follow and enforce the following memo from the OSA released March 2006:
OSA Jewellery & Player's Equipment Memo
The following update released by the OSA on June 2006 explains what is allowed to tie a player's hair back. Also, it explains that knee braces MUST be covered by either a knee brace sleeve or bubble wrap!
OSA Update on Head Wear & Knee Braces Memo
There was also an update by the OSA in 2007 stating that players are allowed to wear a Hijab!
This CSA update from July 2008 explains that "hard plaster casts" are considered to pose a danger to both the wearer and other players and are NOT permitted to be worn even if they are wrapped with foam and/or bubble wrap.
