2014 S2 Baseball Tournament

August 4, 2014

LAST DAY OF BASEBALL FOR 2014 - TODAY, Thursday, August 7! Stop by to watch the games!

Thursday, August 7: (Championship and 3rd Place)
At 5:30, 3rd Place game will feature Twins versus home team, Brewers. Championship Game at 7:30 pits Dodgers against home team, Athletics.

Tuesday, August 5: (Semifinal Round)
In the 5:30 game, a huge 5-run rally in the bottom of the 6th inning propelled home team, Athletics to an 8-7 victory over Twins. Athletics will play in Championship Game, Thursday, 8/7 at 7:30 pm, while Twins play earlier in the 3rd Place Game at 5:30.

At 7:30, a big 5-run 2nd inning helped lift Dodgers over home team Brewers for a 10-7 win. Dodgers will play in Championship Game, Thursday, 8/7 at 7:30 pm, while Brewers play earlier in the 3rd Place Game at 5:30.

Monday, August 4: (Opening Round)
Dodgers came from behind late to beat Cardinals, 3-2. Dodgers will be visitors against Brewers on Tuesday, 8/5 at 7:30 pm.

Little League WI District 2 Baseball 9-10 Tournament

July 21, 2014

Appleton Little League is hosting the Little League Wisconsin District 2 Baseball 9-10 Tournament from Monday, July 21 to Friday, July 25 at Lynn Tipton Field at Scheels USA Youth Sports Complex. All-Star teams from Einstein, Lions, Telulah, and West will compete for the right to represent District 2 at State.

Wednesday, July 23:
Congratulations to Appleton West and Appleton Einstein! They will face off in the Championship Game on Friday, July 25 at 6:00 pm, at Lynn Tipton Field at Scheels USA Youth Sports Complex. The winner advances to the State Tournament, August 2 to August 7 at District 1 host, Glendale!

Monday, July 21:
Pool Play is Monday thru Wednesday this week, with all 4 teams playing each day, with each playing each other once. The top 2 teams will play in the District 2 Championship game on Friday, 7/25.

2014 Rookie Baseball City Tournament

Appleton Little League Rookie Baseball City Tournament began with pool play, from Monday, July 7 to Wednesday, July 9. The top 16 teams advanced to Championship Bracket play, from Monday, July 14 to Thursday, July 17.

Wednesday, July 16:
On Thursday, 7/17, Refine MD faced Sal's Pizza in the 3rd place game at 6:00, while Oral Surgery and Tanners battled for the Rookie City Tournament Championship at 6:30, at Einstein Middle School north and south diamonds. We hope you were there to see the top 4 of 26 teams wrap up the 2014 season.

Wednesday, July 9:
Day 3 of Pool Play is complete. The top 16 teams now face off to play for the City Championship the week of Monday, July 14.

Little League WI District 2 Baseball 10-11 Tournament

July 14, 2014

Appleton Little League will host the Little League Wisconsin District 2 Baseball 10-11 Tournament from Monday, July 14 to Friday, July 18 at Lynn Tipton Field at Scheels USA Youth Sports Complex. All-Star teams from Einstein, Lions, and West will compete for the right to represent District 2 at State.

Wednesday, July 16:
The District 2 Championship game is Friday, 7/18, at Tipton Field at Scheels USA Youth Sports Complex. Einstein and West will face off, with the winner advancing to the State tournament July 26 to August 1, at District 3 host Eau Claire.

Little League WI District 2 Baseball 11-12 Tournament

Appleton Little League hosted the Little League Wisconsin District 2 Baseball 11-12 Tournament from Monday, July 7 to Friday, July 11 at Lynn Tipton Field at Scheels USA Youth Sports Complex. All-Star teams from Einstein, Lions, Telulah, and West competed for the right to represent District 2 at State.

Wednesday, July 9:
The third and final day of pool play wrapped up Wednesday, with Einstein, Telulah, and West all finishing with 2-1 records. By virtue of tiebreaker process, Einstein and Telulah advanced and will face off in the Little League Wisconsin District 2 Baseball 11-12 Tournament Championship Game this Friday, July 11, at 5:30 pm. The winner will represent District 2 at the Wisconsin 11-12 State Tournament in Wausau, July 19 to July 25.

Little League WI District 2 Softball 11-12 and 9-10 Tournaments

Appleton Little League is hosting the Little League Wisconsin District 2 Softball Tournaments for 11-12 and 9-10 from Sunday, July 6 to Wednesday, July 9, at Nienhaus Sports Complex. All-Star teams from Appleton Einstein, Appleton Lions-Telulah, Appleton West, and Sturgeon Bay (S.B. 11-12 only) will compete for the right to represent District 2 at the Wisconsin State Tournaments, July 11 to July 13 in South Milwaukee. Wednesday, July 9:Lions-Telulah 11-12s and Einstein 9-10s are off to state!
Appleton Lions-Telulah 11-12s defeated Appleton Einstein 7-6 in a nail-biter, to claim the District Championship on Wednesday, 7/9 at Nienhaus Softball Field at 7:30 pm. Lions-Telulah will represent District 2 at the Wisconsin State Tournaments, July 11 to July 13 in South Milwaukee. Complete details here.

Tuesday, July 8, 12:30 am:
Day 2 of 3 for Pool Play wrapped up. Pool Play concludes on Tuesday, 7/8, to determine who advances to the District Championships!

2014 Minor Baseball City Tournament

Wednesday, July 9:
Badger Sport Park wins the Minor Baseball City Championship! In a close game throughout, BSP defeated runner-up Apple Creek Orthodontics, 13-6. In the earlier game, Duet Recruiting defeated Bollenbeck Fyfe S.C.10-0, to earn 3rd place in the City. Congratulations to all teams!

Monday, July 7:
Congratulations to Badger Sports Park and Apple Creek Ortho on advancing to the 2014 Appleton Little League Minor Baseball City Tournament Championship game Wednesday, July 9 at 7:15 pm, at Kratzer Field at Scheels USA Youth Sports Complex! Duet Recruiting and Bollenbeck Law will face each other in the 3rd place game on Wednesday at 5:15 pm.

Wednesday, July 3:
Down to the final four!
Duet Recruiting, Badger Sports Park, Bollenbeck Law, and Apple Creek Ortho all won in Round 3 - congrats! The four teams play on Monday, 7/7 to determine which teams will play in the 3rd Place and Championship games on Wednesday, 7/9.

Tuesday, July 2:
Congratulations to Duet Recruiting, Accurate Appraisal, Good Company, Badger Sports Park, Bollenbeck Law, U.S. Bank, Apple Creek Ortho, and TruGreen West for winning their second round games on Tuesday. These teams will all play their 3rd round games this evening at 5:45 at Einstein, Telulah, Lions, and Kiwanis City Parks.

Monday, June 30:
Mother Nature forced us to reschedule all eight second round games from Monday, 6/30 to Tuesday, 7/1.

Thursday, June 26:
Congratulations to FNB Fox Valley and Bollenbeck Law for winning their opening round games Thursday. They join 14 other teams in (8) second round games throughout the city on Monday, June 30.

2014 Major Baseball City Tournament

Wednesday, July 2:
Kolosso Toyota captured the 2014 Appleton Little League Championship with a 6-3 triumph over American Overhead Door! Congtatulations to both teams on a greatbgame and great season!

Congratulations to Pizza King for their 3rd Pllace Championship victory over Waverly 51! The game came down to one last play at the plate!

The finals are set! Einstein teams will battle it out for the City Championship game today at approximately 8:00 pm at Tipton Field (USA1) at Scheels USA Youth Sports Complex. #1 seed Kolosso Toyota will face #2 seed American Overhead Door. Earlier at Tipton, at 6:00, we'll see West teams, #3 Pizza King play #4 Waverly 51 for the 3rd Place Game. Stop out this evening to see the top four baseball teams wrap up their regular season!

Monday, June 30:
Mother Nature forced us to reschedule semifinal games from Monday, 6/30 to Tuesday, 7/1.

Wednesday, June 25:
And then there were four! Congratulations to Kolosso Toyota, Waverly 51, Pizza King, and American Overhead Door for winning in the second round, advancing to the semi-final games! Stop by Tipton Field (USA #1) at Scheels USA Youth Sports Complex Monday evening, June 30, to see the top four teams in the City!

Monday, June 23:
Congratulations to McCarty Law, Appleton Police, Waverly 51, Pizza King, ThedaCare, and Good Company for winning their first round games Monday, advancing to Wednesday's second round. They'll join top seeds Kolosso Toyota and American Overhead Door, who earned byes into the round.
