Background Checks

Per Anne Arundel County Parks and Recreation policy, backgrounds checks are a mandatory requirement for all Organization head and assistant coaches, officers and board members.  Coaches should not be on the field without having a background check completed.  Background checks cost $7 and may take a few weeks to be completed and posted to the Active Volunteers Database.  This public database lists all persons that have completed and passed a background, along with the date of completion.  Backgrounds are good for 3 years from the date listed.  Crofton Baseball will verify completion using this list, but ultimately, is up to the individual to ensure that their background is kept current.

Below is the link to the Anne Arundel County Active Volunteers Database.  Check this list to verify your background check has been completed or is still current.  Remember, the check is good for 3 years from the date listed in the database.  Make sure  you allow enough time for a new check to be completed if you are approaching the 3 year expiration date.
