Program Structure

Intramural League (Grades K-1): Introduction to the sport of lacrosse and basic fundamental skill development. Weekly clinics run in season for the entire grade. The Intramural program begins in April. Traditionally, the girls program practices on Monday nights and the boys program practices on Friday nights.

Youth Travel League (Grades 2-3): Continue the development of individual skills; while introducing and fostering the team concept. Compete locally against other town travel programs. Equal teams created via a draft run by the head coaches for the grade and overseen by the Board. Coaching staff consists of one head coach and one assistant (per team with a minimum of 16 players per team). Practice schedule includes 2-3 times a week (including any games). The travel program begins practicing in early March, and games usually begin in late March.

Youth Travel League (Grades 4-6): Advanced development of individual skills and team concepts. Compete locally in league play and in pre-season tournaments against other town travel programs. Equal teams created via a draft run by the head coaches for the grade and overseen by the Board of Directors for the PAL season. Practice schedule includes 3-4 times a week (including any games). The regular travel program begins practicing in early March, and games usually begin in late March. 

Additionally, 10 off-season indoor training sessions are available to all players in each grade led by qualified trainers.  At the conclusion of the off-season training program a tryout out will be held in each grade for tournament teams, players must also play on their assigned PAL team to compete on the tournament team.
