Sting End Successful Season in Wildwood After Capturing 2 Championships at the Battle of the Boardwalk

 

8th Luciano continued their momentum from Rock the Rim and Rumble in Philly and captured their 3rd Straight and 4th Overall Championship of the season.  The team made it to the Championship game in all but 1 of their tournaments.  The 7th grade team finally put together a complete tournament and got over the hump capturing their 1st Championship on the year after losing their first appearance back in Allentown.  8th Grade Miller won their pool but fell to the 8th Grade Luciano in the semi-finals.  10th Grade also came out of their pool, but lost a tough game in the semi-finals in overtime.  6th grade finished 2-1 losing its only game to the eventual champion.  Overall, the organization was 16-3 at the tournament and ended the season 73-26, appearing in over 10 championship games and capturing 7 championships.  Congratulations to players, parents, and coaches on all their hard work and successful season. 

 
 
 
 

 

Sting Regain Championship form in South Jersey Jazz Rock the Rim Tournament in King of Prussia

 

8th Grade Luciano defeated 8th Grade Miller in the Championship Game for the 2nd year in a row to capture their 2nd Championship of the season and the organizations 4th this year.  Overall, 4 out of the 5 teams won their Pool and competed in the Championship.  The 6th grade team (3rd Championship Appearance), 8th Grade Luciano (4th Championship appearance), 8th Grade Miller (2nd Championship Appearance) and 10th Grade team (2nd Championship Appearance) all won their pools and competed for the championship.  The organization improved to 57-23 on the year after going 15-4 on the weekend and all teams finishing with winning records.  Last tournament of the year is fast approaching in Wildwood, NJ.  

 
 
 
Sting Championship Run Ends but Improve Overall Record at Penn Jersey Atlantic City/Stockton Tournament
 
The Sting's Championship streak is halted at the Penn Jersey Atlantic City Stockton Tournament. The Sting had 2 pool winners on the weekend (6th Grade and 8th Grade Luciano), but could not win the Championship.  This was the 6th Grade Team's 2nd Championship Appearance of the season and 8th Grade Luciano's 3rd Championship Appearance and 2nd Straight tournament.  Overall the Organization went 8-6 on the weekend and improved their overall record to 42-19.  Next tournament is South Jersey Jazz Rock the Rim Tournament in King of Prussia the weekend of June 2nd.


Sting Continue Winning Ways at Jazz May Madness Tournament, with the 3rd Championship of the Season
 
The Sting completed another successful weekend at the South Jersey Jazz May Madness tournament.  All teams finished with a winning record with the organization going 13-4 on the weekend.  Congratulations to Coach Luciano and his 8th Grade team as they went 5-0 and won the 8th Grade Championship.  This is their second championship game appearance and 1st championship of the season.  For the season, the organization stands at 34-13, with 3 Championships.  Next tournament is the weekend of May 19th in Penn Jersey Panthers Stockton Classic.


 
Sting Continue Strong Opening to Season with 2 Championships in the Penn Jersey Panther Rowan Classisc
 
The Sting continued their success from the MAEC Classic in Allentown as they went 8-3 in the Penn Jersey Rowan Classic, including taking home 2 Championships.  Congratulations to the 8th Grade Miller and 10th Grade players and coaches on the Sting's 1st Championships of the season.  For the season, the organization stands at 21-9.  Good Luck this weekend as all teams compete in the South Jersey Jazz May Madness Tournament at Rowan University.

 

 

 
 

 

 

 

Northeast Sting opened the Season in Impressive Fashion at the Mid-Atlantic Elite Classic in Allentown.

 

Congratulations to all coaches and players on a successful opening tournament.  As an organization, the Sting went 13-6 with 2 Pool Play Winners (7th Grade and 8th Grade Luciano) and 3 Championship Appearances (6th Grade, 7th Grade, and 8th Grade Luciano).  Congratulations to the following players on being named to the All-MAEC Team as determined by their scouting group:
